Student Falls To Death Fleeing Khalwat Raid

وَلاَ تَقْرَبُواْ الزِّنَى إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَاحِشَةً وَسَاء سَبِيلًا
Do not draw near to fornication, for it is an indecency, and its way is evil. (Al-Isra ; 32)

KUALA LUMPUR: A 21-year-old college student fell to his death from the fifth floor of an apartment while trying to escape from religious officials in Gombak yesterday.

It was believed that he panicked when mosque officials conducted checks early in the morning.

The officials went to the Jelutong Apartments in Selayang Heights, Gombak, at 1.40am after receiving a tip-off on immoral activities.

They went to an apartment unit on the fifth floor which was believed to be used as a love nest by a couple.

"The religious officers knocked several times on the door before hearing something fall from the apartment unit," a spokesman said.
"Not long afterwards, a woman opened the door and appeared to be in a state of alarm. This aroused the suspicions of the officers who quickly checked the unit."

One of the officers spotted an open window and suspected that the couple had attempted to escape by climbing out of it.

However, they were shocked to find the body of the woman's boyfriend lying in a drain downstairs. He was believed to have slipped while trying to climb to an adjoining unit.

The officials immediately called for an ambulance but the student was declared dead due to massive injuries on the head and internal organs.

The body was sent to the Selayang Hospital for a post-mortem while police also recorded statements from the religious officers involved in the raid.

Initial investigations revealed that the victim was a student at a private college in the area.

His girlfriend also had her statement recorded.

Police have initially classified the case as sudden death as there was no evidence of foul play.

I was surprised this morning to read this in my newspaper. I was like numbed. Thousand of questions ran in my mind.
And one that I really think about is,
How did his parents feel?
Just imagine how hard it is. Just imagine how sad it is. Just imagine how shame it is. Just imagine how heart breaking it is.
I can’t imagine no more.
I tried to put myself in the parents’ situation, and these were questions that I asked myself,
What we might feel if our own son, who we love so much, who we care so much, who we depend so much, who we really put high hope so much, died because of something like this?
And how if,
We are the one who die in this way? How if we are the one who die when we try to escape from getting caught doing something that is very shameful like fornication, something that Allah forbid us to do at the first place?
Aren’t we afraid that Allah might take our live when we doing something forbidden instead of doing something noble?

Oh Ya Allah, please avoid this from happen to me, please avoid this from happen to my family, please avoid this from happen to my friends and to all Muslims.
Oh Ya Allah, we are too weak Ya Allah. We are easily fall into Satan’s trap. Please give us strength to fight these evils which never stop to distract us from u Ya Allah.
Please give us strength to be like our beloved Nabi Yusuf who still strongly holds his ‘iman’ even been lure by Zulaikha Ya Allah. For u Ya Allah we depend on.

We all should be afraid because nobody knew how their lives are going to end. Are we going to end our lives in ‘iman’ or not?
But we should never give up because we have known something that is fact and can be very helpful for us; we know that Allah is The Greatest. He the one who give us live, and He the one will take our lives anytime He want too. So the clue for us here is, we should always get ready to die. Behave ourselves all the time and keep ourselves in ‘iman’ all the time because we know that we might die anytime from now.
So for us who still alive right now, we should be grateful to Allah because still give us a chance to repent before we die. Let us repent for all mistakes that we did before, so that we can die in ‘iman’.
When we read this kind of story, we should take it as a reminder to remind us who we really are and what we should really do. If we are Muslims, what we should really do is to be a good Muslims.
Let us die in ‘iman’ not die in vain.

Salam.

It’s sad hearing such stories... these kind of issues really need attention from the government. We sure did not want our children to continue living in such unhealthy lifestyle. Looking at the teenagers nowadays, it’s frightening…
