KFC : Kentucky Fight Club?

I bet most of u guys have seen this video footage. More and more incident lately showed that KFC Malaysia is totally out of control.

I’m not here to judge anybody coz I wasn’t even there, but what I would like to do is, telling what I think based on my common sense regarding to this matter.

First of all I would like to remind u all that I am Muslim and I am Malay.

The speculation on the Internet especially in Facebook, saying that this particular customer has provoked the workers with racial statement by saying “cibai punya Melayu”. I’m not sure whether this thing was real or not. But what I’m sure is, violence won’t solve any problem.

As the saying goes, “stop raising your voice, start improve your argument”, it is wrong by law for u to beat anybody. Doesn't matter who's wrong or right, hitting someone itself is a wrong thing to do. We're not living in the 1400s anymore.

Don’t KFC staff have brain? Do u must hit people when they provoke u? What moral and ur religion taught u? And the news said the outlet manager just stand there chatting? It’s just like giving green light to the subordinate to hit customers. In my opinion both manager and staff involved should be suspended pending investigation and if found guilty should be sack from their job.

And KFC really need to take more stern action against the manager who was supposed to have take charge of the whole situation. He should have step in by informing the customers that they have run out of stock. And secondly, by failing to controlling his customers and staff when they ran amuk like that.

Even the mouth of the customer isn't controlled at best, still the law said the act of use of violence is not permitted. Whoever started to use the act of visible mean violence is at fault here. The staff should apologize to customer in whatsoever means of misconduct, not by solving the issue with a hit on his face.

And just stop with the race issue geting into this debate? Strip away all ethnicity, and u get what you're looking for:

KFC should be blamed 100% for this (and for many other incidences too). As a service provider, it is YOUR JOB to provide service. No stock la, staff fatigue la, etc.... that is NO EXCUSE for KFC to NOT give a statement of apology of this. It is only right to do so.

The branch manager should be reprimanded for not taking charge of the situation. You are charged with supervising ur staff and the running of the whole place. Like others have mentioned, u should have had a contingency plan for situations like this. Unless some alien landed in ur kitchen and stole all ur chickens - then I would understand being caught off-guard. "No stock" is not exactly a bizarre or never-before-seen situation. It SHOULD HAVE BEEN in the manual on how to be dealt with.

I agree that the staff is also human - he has feelings and doesn't deserve the alleged insults and humiliation. BUT, that is not an excuse, again. Road bullies, robbers, rapists, petty criminals all have feelings also. Are we supposed to let them go scot-free? No.

Me myself have experience this kind of problem when some of the KFC restaurant I visited, I found that I need to wait long queue and the cashier seem like not so clear about their promotion. Sometimes I even need to explain what promotion and what menu I am ordering again and again.

The whole company management and service quality control already have a serious problem since many years. If u forget, let me summarize the KFC Malaysia Incident lately :

1. A video posted by KFC Malaysia staff that showing how they "fried" chicken with their dirty foot.

2. 2nd Video coming up also from KFC Malaysia staff that showing how they playing with the fried chieken oil.

3. A person called himself CEO of KFC Malaysia show up in a video clip in their website & facebook to apologize to public and promiss that no such incident will happended again and will install CCTV in their kitchen and outlet.

4. Not long ago, KFC Malaysia posted a e-Voucher on their facebook & website which allow customer to download and print out the voucher for free burger by purchase any product in their outlet. The Voucher become invalid immediately after 2 hours due to no stock. Untill now the voucher still invalid and Management did not response to this issue.

5. Few days ago, a Internet user posted a video which taken in i-City KFC Malaysia outlet showing that the staffs beating the long "Q" customer.

KFC is well known for world standard, which mean where ever u in a world, KFC assures the standards of service is same and 100%! Mc’d has the same standards too. Mc'd can handle whole Malaysia without problem, so why can't KFC?

And please lah, fighting over chicken is very nonsense. Even if u wanna have fight, please NOT INFRONT OF CUSTOMERS AND SURELY NOT INFRONT OF FOREIGNERS THAT CAME FOR VISIT IN MALAYSIA!!

This case didn't just spoilt the reputation of KFC but also Malaysia's reputation! You may have millions of problem due to work load, u may be hot tempered, wanna do something bad for good reason, do it in correct way. DON'T BRING SHAME TO YOUR WORKPLACE AND MALAYSIA since this is a tourist HOT SPOT!

This Is Confusing Country

Its been a while since the last time I update my blog. Been busy with my fiinal exam which was just over around 2 weeks ago. So I would like to apologise for those who been waiting for my update.

Back to the point, many things have happened in our country lately. That’s why this time my title is as above.

One thing that I realized about our country is, the politicians never admit it when they fuck up. Instead, they will manipulate it till things become worst.

Recent case about Anwar Ibrahim, where he clearly quoted as saying he supported “all efforts to protect the security of the state of Israel”. WTF? Have u forgotten that Israel killed Palestinian like EVERYDAY?? So why the hell u wanna care about Israel security while Palestinian’s security that we should be worried about? I don’t give a damn if u wanna say that Mahathir or Najib have met the leaders of Israel or what, but the things now why u also wanna be the same? This is a mess! And what I really don’t understand is, is it so hard for u to just apologise and clear the air?

Adam Adli, u also such a mess. It really pissed me off when u started to act like HERO when u came to Kedah. Who the F do u think u are? Think using ur brain lah CIKGU, not ur emotional! IF u think u are better than Ustaz Azizan, well u need to think again. Not to say that Ustaz Azizan got Master while u don’t, he’s obviously out of ur league. In easy words, he’s way smarter than u.

Regarding the hot issues now at Kedah about KUIN, I would like to tell those ignorant people who don’t know anything, especially Adam Adli who only knows to demonstrate.

Kuin is a registered institution under the Ministry of Higher Education (FEDERAL GOVERNMENT). So all the certificate / diploma / bachelor / master issued by KUIN must be recognized by the Malaysian Qualified Agency (MQA) which are under Federal GOVERNMENT.

5 students suspended punishment stipulated in the UUCA also created by the Federal Government.

If the Kedah State Government and the management of Kuin easily ignore AUKU as clearly stated in Malaysia rule, are students of Kuin prepared if the Federal Government retract back the MQA that has been issued for their certificate?

When Pakatan Rakyat promised to abolish UUCA?
AFTER Pakatan Rakyat managed to ruling MALAYSIA. Not now. Can we produce MQA on our own?

I really admire how Ustaz Azizan wisely respond by saying “Buku Jingga was not the Al-Quran” that needs to be followed at all the times and “some things u can carry out and some u cannot, u have to look at the situation.”

Even Anwar also defended the PAS leader saying the Buku Jingga is a common policy that would be implemented if PR comes into power but “the UUCA is an existing law and in the absence of a new law, the license to run the school is given by the higher education ministry only if u follow the rules.”

So now u understand it CIKGU ADAM ADLI? Or u want me to translate it for u?

Shahrizat, I thought when u applied for 3 weeks leave, u want to muhasabah urself and back to the right path, instead u lawyered up to fight Rafizi Ramli. Well then, let see who’s gonna win. I still remember that the first person who revealed that NFC such a mess was not Rafizi, but The Auditor Genereal Report, Tan Sri Aming Buang. We are not talking about small amount of money, but this is big, we talking about RM250 millions of rakyat money! And u spend it like nobody business!

And I don’t understand why Muhyiddin afraid to allow this case be investigated by royal commissioner. The rakyat wants to know what happened to our hard earned RM250 million. Why buy condo for the cattle to live? How come the whole family of Sharizat are the board of directors, where is the internal control for accountability if the father, sons, daughters all are board directors? Why there was no personal guarantee for the loan by the family. Come next election, u decide for them to stay or for them to be investigated. Please return the money to the rakyat. If this is the case, don’t talk about ETP, etc simply cos it's pointless. Don’t talk about high income nation when RM250 million is being used to buy condo for cattle to live...we had enough of ur bullshit!

And now Zaid Ibrahim want to dissolve KITA because of few problems including don’t have enough fund to maintain the party. Well the thing now is, I kinda like Zaid Ibrahim. I read almost all of his book (my fav is I, Too, Am Malay), so I can imagine what kind of person he is.

So my advise to Zaid is, swallow ur pride and rejoin PKR. Strive and work hard and above all, be patient. Members will support u when ur time to be in the higher hierarchy of leadership arises. A house is not built in a day. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. To those who are thinking of a "third force", better forget it for now. It is either now or never - FOR A CHANGE. Hopefully, Malaysians of ALL Races (whether Malays, Chinese, Indians, Kadazans, Ibans, Melanaus, Orang Asli, and Others) will be well UNITED - FOR A REAL CHANGE for the good and betterment of the Country and her Rakyat - irrespective of Race, Creed or Faith.

Let’s go to Sarawak now.

When I talk about Sarawak, there’s no other person to talk about too if it’s not Taib Mahmud. Do u guys know that his son divorce with his wife, where the wife is asking RM400 millions for compensation. READ IT AGAIN, IT’S RM400 FREAKING MILLIONS!

So can u just imagine how much the wealth that Taib’s family attained? Put it simple way, if the RM400 MILLIONS demanded divide by RM500 (BR1M), it will feed 800 000 people. And mind u that is only fraction of his wealth. And the funny part is, MACC acted like nothing happen.

What I can say about the lesson is, u can hide ur wealth from public, but u can’t hide it from ur wife. DAAAA!

LIFE ISN'T THAT BAD AFTER ALL

Life is more than just a game. Life is something very distinctive and very subjective. I would like to stress on the importance of life itself to every single being in this earth.

Sometimes we may experience downfall. Sometimes it seems like the whole world is crashing on u, and when things seems to be sailing smoothly, that is when things goes out of hand. I personally experience it myself, (and I believe so do u). And for a moment, it seems like my life is useless. But it came a point in time where I sat down and think about the possibilities of what happens now is partly the work of God, or perhaps things happened because it is meant to be that way. I know that sometimes life itself may fail to u to a point u are thinking that what is the use of u being born in this world. But allow me to say this, IT IS NOT ABOUT THE PURPOSE OF U LIVING IN THIS WORLD, IS WHAT U DID WHILE U ARE LIVING THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE TO THE WORLD.

We may think that the statement above only applies to certain people who feel positive about the whole idea of living, but again, we might be wrong. And why is that?

Everyone has a part to play in life. Every single being in this world has a part to play either directly or indirectly. And yes the fact that one feels bad about themself is affected by the choices we made. The choices which reflects what personality we posses. It is us who determined whether we are sad, happy, emotional or even depressed. It’s us who choose on how we look on that matter itself. If we choose to look it on a smaller scale, the only thing we will see in it is depression, sadness, anxiety, stress. But if we look on a bigger picture, we will see that it isn’t bad after all.

The fact is, we all experience downfall. But it’s how we handle it that makes us stand out from the crowd. I admit, as a human myself, I sometimes don’t do as I what I speak. My emotions take over all logics. My heart tells me to do things that is out of this world, when the fact that my brains tells me what I am doing is wrong. But that’s how it is. We all tend to follow what our heart says. But the main point here is, how do we handle this kind of situation?

Lately, I went into a lot of problems that test my patience and my ability to handle things consciously. For a moment, I went into a state of depression. I isolate myself. I do things that are silly. I act like a stupid clown. I was in an autopilot mode. But as things were going the way it is, something came to me and snap me back to reality.

That is when I started to think back and review all my actions. I started to reflect back at the problem and find where did I went wrong. The problem I face was a problem which I lay blame on others but myself. Although I know deep down, I am not a fault, but everyone has a part in every problem. That is when I realized, instead of blaming others, I should start thinking of how to correct myself.

U see, the funny thing about human whether u realize it or not is, we only tend to learn from mistakes. In other words, if we never do mistakes, and even if we did but no one corrected us, we will never know it is wrong.

So yes, I reflect back about everything that happened, and I started to think about the future. How do I correct it? How will I handle such situation if it were to occur again? And how do I overcome it if it happens? And after all that process of ’metamorphosis’, I finally realized what happened isn’t bad after all. During the downfall period I had, I found out who my real friends are and who are just bunch of pain in the ass people. I saw the true behaviour of certain people and during this period also, I realize and learn a lot of things. And this is beautiful of life.

Many things are beyond our control. As a human, we can only pray to God for things to work out smoothly. The things I realize in this isolation and metamorphosis period changed me a lot. I became stronger and mature (I hoping so). Although right now I may still feel the pain, I am glad and proud to say I am slowly recovering from it. It’s hard but life goes on.

Any matter in this world can be overcome with time. Time is the most essential medication to any problem. No matter what problem we face, patience is the key to everything.

During the time where the problem arise, I also realized that I was pushy. I kept pushing things to the limit when finally someone came and tell me that I am irritating. The truth sucks, but that’s the whole point. The truth is there for us to wake up and changed. I woke up. I glad I did. And now, I am slowly changing. I do not want to repeat what had been the becoming of me.

Today, I write my story so that I can share with u readers for u to realize that ; LIFE ISN’T THAT BAD AFTER ALL. It’s how we look on it that determines how well are we going to live in this world. I just want to stress again that it is not the problem u face that matters, it’s how u overcome it.

I’m hoping u guys won’t need to go through the pain like I did before this. I’m hoping to see everyone facing every problem with confidence and maturity. No matter what we do, problems are sure to arise. So why face it with gloomy and negative attitude? Since there is problem no matter what we do, then face it positively. Learn to handle it and learn from it. We don’t need to care what others think about us. We don’t need to care what message we sent to others due to our behaviour and choices we made. What others think doesn’t matter, it’s what u think u are doing is right that matters. We not live to please everyone in this world. So let others think what they want to think because only God knows what is happening to u and only what HE knows that matters most.

I really hope that by reading this post, my dear readers will play a part in the society by changing and sending out a clear message to every single one out there, that life is full of hope and joy. Although there maybe ups and downs, it is not the end of the world. Remember, those ups and downs that makes living interesting.

No matter what happens, do not give up. As long as there is God, there is hope.

May God bless u guys and good luck in everything u do. Remember, face live positively and with God’s grace, things will turn out just fine.

Najib Lift AUKU

1. Datuk Seri Najib Razak said in the parliament yesterday that the government plans to lift the ban on student participation in politics, as part of his administration’s political reforms. This to allow students above 21 to be active members of political parties.

2. Well, to be fair and not to be biased, I gotta say that this is a welcomed moved.

3. It is timely that the future generations be allowed to participate and be groomed to be more involved in the affairs of the country. After all they are the one who going to be the eventual leaders of this country. It will provide an avenue for orderly succession of political leaders who are well educated and experienced.

4. For too long, the younger generations have been stifled, resulting in the less equipped people coming to be engaged in the running of the government. The early engagement in political affairs of the country at university days, will eventually see these people well prepared for serving in both and political and civil services of this country.

Najib however stressed that under the law, politics would still be banned from university campuses.

5. As a student myself, I still can tolerate with this rule, but please, if u really wanna ban politics from entering the campuses, make sure u keep the campus free from ALL political activities, including from BN.

6. And for all the Vice Chancellors and lecturers that cannot accept this news quite well, please understand something.

7. Being allowed political freedom doesn’t automatically translate into “ponteng kuliah” or becoming radical.

8. In fact, students who are politically literate while at the same time excel in their study are exactlt the ones we want. We don’t want students who are docile, timid and don’t know anything other than what’s in their textbook (which many don’t really know what’s in their textbooks thus making them far worse.)

9. Please give credit where credit's due. At least it is a step in the right direction. I always dreaming for a better government though. Well maybe for now I gotta say, kudos to Najib for taking the right step.

10. But now, the implementation part. That's where it becomes tricky.

11. For Pro-Pakatan who still skeptical with this sudden move made by Najib, I totally understand u guys. After so many promises of reform (ISA, freedom of assembly, meritocracy), nothing has been delivered.

12. It is true that before any student begin to shout and jump for joy, we need to remember back what Najib announced two months ago about the repealing of the draconian ISA? And guess what will be replacing it? Yes, the Peaceful Assembly Bill.

13. So what is this Peaceful Assembly Bill? Basically, a repackaged ISA under a new name, with some additional "upgrades" included. As the saying goes: "New Bottle. Same Old Wine".

14. I am not Pro Government nor that I am Pro Pakatan. I am a Rakyat and recent repeated experiences tells me that there are lots of rosy pictures painted but reality far differs.

15. But still, let us all not giving up hope. If we do care about this country rather than our own biased support for a particular party politics, let us try to welcome this news with great pleasure. It brings great potential to the future of our students.

16. Let us work on with it, making most of it. I wanna try to be a neutral and positive for once, and I hope every Malaysian can also do the same.

The Price of Miracle

It was a long time ago in a small village at Kedah.

A little girl went to her tiny bedroom and pulled a bottle from its hiding place in the closet. She poured the coins out on the floor and counted it carefully. The total had to be exactly perfect. No chance here for mistakes.

After finish counting, she carefully placing the coins back in the bottle and twisting on the cap, she slipped out the back door slowly without her parents noticing her and made her way to the small town to go to the drug store.

It took her almost half an hour to arrive at the pharmacy.

Once she arrived, she entered the door and waited patiently for the pharmacist to give her some attention.

Moment after moment, Aleeya still didn’t get the pharmacist attention, coz he was too busy talking with someone.

Aleeya twisted her feet to make a scuffing noise.

Still nothing.

She cleared her throat with the most disgusting sound she could muster.

No good.

Finally she took some of coins from her bottle and banged it on the glass counter.

That did it!

The pharmacist turn and walk near to Aleeya.

The pharmacist : What do u want kiddo??? Are u lost or something??? I’m busy here talking with my brother who just arrived from Kuala Lumpur. And u know what, it’s been a while since I met my brother so please don’t waste my time, go back to ur parents!

Then without waiting for answer, the pharmacist continue talking back to his brother.

Aleeya didn’t give up.

Aleeya : Well, THANKS for telling me about ur brother. But now let me tell u about my brother! My brother now, he’s really, really sick…..and I want to buy a miracle.

This time Aleeya managed to get attention from the pharmacist and even the pharmacist’s brother is start looking and listening to Aleeya.

The pharmacist : I beg ur pardon? What did u say?

Aleeya : His name is Amar, and he has something bad growing inside his head, and my Abah says only a miracle can save him now. So how much does a miracle cost?

The pharmacist shocked and start speak with softening tone.

The pharmacist : I’m sorry dear, but we don’t sell miracles here. I’m so sorry for being rude with u just now. And sorry coz I cannot help u.

Aleeya still didn’t give up.

Aleeya : Listen, I have the money to pay for it. If it isn't enough, I will get the rest. Just tell me how much it costs.

The pharmacist's brother who just stood near there silently from the beginning, move towards them. He was a well dressed man. He stooped down and asked the little girl,

The well dressed man : What kind of a miracle does ur brother need my dear?

Aleeya : I don’t know.

Aleeya starts sobbing…..Then she continue..

Aleeya : I just know he’s really sick, and ibu says he needs an operation. But abah can’t pay for it, so I want to use my money.

The well dressed man: How much do u have?

Aleeya closed her eyes as she try to remember back how much money she have, then slowly she opened her eyes and says with slow voice,

Aleeya : I have two ringgit and 30 cents sir. And it’s all that I have, but I can get some more if I need to.

The well dressed man: Well, what a coincidence… (while smiling)…Two ringgit and 30 cent is the exact price of a miracle for little brothers…

The well dressed man then took her money in one hand and with the other hand he grasped her mitten and whispers to Aleeya’s ear;

"Take me to where u live. I want to see ur brother and meet ur parents. Let's see if I have the miracle u need."

That well dressed man was a surgeon specializing in neurosurgery.

Long story short, the operation was completed free of charge, and it wasn't long until Amar was home again and doing well.

Ibu and Abah were happily talking about the chain of events that had led them to this place.

"That surgery," her Mom whispered. "was a real miracle. I wonder how much it would have cost?"

Aleeya smiled. She knew exactly how much a miracle cost...

Two ringgit and 30 cents...plus the faith of a little child.

Meat and Bricks don’t mix!

Hi guys. Sorry for the late update. This time need to update coz cannot tahan anymore with the corruption that we need to face in our country every day.

Funny thing here about Malaysia is, most (if not all) of the politicians love to play fool with the rakyat. They expect rakyat is too stupid that they make a nonsense an illogical lies that even 10 years old kid could easily know that they are lying. Doesn’t matter whether from the government or from the opposition side, both of these coalition is just the same!

As we all know, the latest Auditor-General report on the government ministries have been very disappointing.

From the poor management of a cattle farm project, hefty bonus payouts by underperforming GLC’s and the inability to finish projects on time shows poor governance on the part of the Najib Administration.

According to the report and as mentioned in an English-language daily, nine ministries or departments overspent their operating allocation in 2010 by a total of RM3.73 billion. And guys RM3.73 billion is not a small amount of money!

And now I wanna emphasis about a cattle farm project that being handle by Shahrizat and her family, called National Feedlot Centre (NFC). Shahrizat’s husband and children control the RM250 million NFC project funded by government which is in the other word, funded by rakyat’s money.

Unfortunately NFC had failed so badly despite being given a soft loan of RM250mil and a 5,000-acre plot of land. The Auditor-General’s Report released last month had criticised the NFC, pointing out that it was now in a mess!

So, the one million dollar question is, where’s the beef Shahrizat?

The report said production in 2010 was only 3,289 head of cattle or 41.1% of the target set.

And the latest report said that there’s a condominium costing RM10million was bought from the Shahrizat’s husband wholly-owned company, National Meat and Livestock Corporation (NLMC) using the surplus fund for this kettle project? What the heck?!

And funny thing is, despite Shahrizat or his husband defending about this condominium purchased, it was Khairy Jamaluddin who came out later to defend this condo purchased by saying that this cattle condo was a good investment. I don’t know what this thing got to do with him.

Khairy, who has appeared as Shahrizat’s staunch defender over the National Feedlot Centre controversy, said NMLC was left with surplus funds that when the government ran out of funds to develop satellite cattle farms.

It then decided on real estate investment as a means to put the excess liquidity to work.

He did not, however, say if the company was authorised to make the property investment.

“Should they have left the money in the current account, which does not have a high yield, while waiting for the satellite farms or should they have invested the money while waiting,” said Khairy.

“The management made a decision that the best return on investment would have been from real estate."

Khairy, first of all, who appointed u to be spokesperson for NMLC?! Did the management of NMCL appoint u? Why aren't the directors or Shahrizat answering the issues directly?

Secondly, from breeding kettles to property business, I don't see a connection and how it make sense. Meat and Bricks don’t mix u genius!

And in order to remind u of ur arrogance knowledge Mr. Oxford graduate! A banker will never agree that funds are not channeled to the principal business activity. When funds are diverted away from core business, it will term management as high risk! This is a fundamental rule in lending! And since money is loan out from the government for this feed-lot project, the same principle must apply!

Do u know how that if the bank allows the borrower to do that (funds are not channeled to the principal business activity), it would compromise on one of its core corporate governance criteria - if they were to close one eye and allow their borrower to use the credit facility for something other than its intended reason?

Tell me which bank does that in Malaysia?!

Or is it only the Malaysian government that is so dumb to appreciate banking rules 101?!

To me all these clearly are just fat excesses, pure cronyism and clear act of robbing in daylight!

If we look back carefully, everything went wrong even at the early stage. First of all, how can the government release the money when there's no real purpose for its use. Secondly, why didn't the board for NMLC return the money back to the government if there was no proper use for it as intended. Thirdly, how can the board to be allowed to use the funds provided by the government from taxpayers on just any project they think they want to invest in.

I give u simple example, if I take a loan from a bank to buy a house but instead use the money for a car, is that legal? Will I not be dragged to court by the bank? Again back to Khairy, are u sure u graduated from Oxford?

Dumbest argument from and Oxford graduate. If anyone go by this logic, then what's stopping every ministry to then speculate on property, later on in equity market???

And until now it still confusing me why Shahrizat never entered her defense of unclear money transaction but irrelevant people like Khairy defended her so blatantly as if Khairy is the chairman of the company. Just so you know, in this mean time, I have 6 draft posts on my blog. 6 freaking drafts, all of which are over 500 words long, but sucked so much that I couldn't bring myself to edit and post them here.

It's hard coming back to a practice which came so easily to me just a year ago. I used to blog nearly everyday, about everything, and now, just typing two words makes me damn lazy and scares the hell out of me.

I'm so intimidated by blank pages and blinking cursors, it's like this vast emptiness holding out a hand at me and saying "Dude, we're gonna go on a ride, but u're going to have to determine where we go, what the place is going to look like, who the people we meet are, everything. Right down to the very last detail." And the more thought I put into it, the worse the ideas I come up with are.

So, I end up doing something else instead of keeps writing.

P/s : I put all the blame to my part time job!

Lesson For Everyone

One, young, academically excellent person went to apply for a managerial position in a big company.

He passed the first interview. The director who did the last interview, made the last decision.

The director discovered from the CV that the youth's academic achievements were excellent all the way, from the secondary school until the postgraduate research. He never had a year when he did not score.

The director asked, "Did you obtain any scholarships in school?" The youth answered "none".

The director asked, " Was it your father who paid for your school fees?" The youth answered, "My father passed away when I was one year old. It was my mother who paid for my school fees."

The director asked, " Where did your mother work?" The youth answered, "My mother worked as a clothes cleaner. The director requested the youth to show his hands. The youth showed a pair of hands that were smooth and perfect.

The director asked, " Have you ever helped your mother wash the clothes before?" The youth answered, "Never, my mother always wanted me to study and read more books. Furthermore, my mother can wash clothes faster than me."

The director said, "I have a request. When you go back today, go and clean your mother's hands and then see me tomorrow morning."

The youth felt that his chance of landing the job was high. When he went back, he happily requested his mother to let him clean her hands. His mother felt strange, but with mixed feelings, she showed her hands to her son.

The youth cleaned his mother's hands slowly. His tears fell as he did that. It was the first time he noticed that his mother's hands were so wrinkled and that there were so many bruises in her hands. Some bruises were so painful that his mother shivered when they were cleaned with water.

This was the first time the youth realized that it was this pair of hands that washed the clothes every day to enable him to pay the school fee. The bruises in the mother's hands were the price that the mother had to pay for his graduation, academic excellence and his future.

After finishing the cleaning of his mother hands, the youth quietly washed all the remaining clothes for his mother.

That night, mother and son talked for a very long time.

Next morning, the youth went to the director's office.

The Director noticed the tears in the youth's eyes and asked, " Can you tell me what you did and learned yesterday in your house?"

The youth answered, " I cleaned my mother's hands, and also finished cleaning all the remaining clothes.'

The Director asked, " Please tell me your feelings."

The youth said, Number 1, I know now the meaning of appreciation. Without my mother, there would not be the successful me today. Number 2, by working together and helping my mother, only now I realize how difficult and tough it is to get something done. Number 3, I have come to appreciate the importance and value of family relationship.

The director said, " This is what I am looking for in my new manager.
I want to recruit a person who can appreciate the help of others, a person who knows the sufferings of others to get things done, and a person who would not put money as his only goal in life. Son,you are hired."

Later on, this young person worked very hard, and received the respect of his subordinates. Every employee worked diligently and as a team. The company's performance improved tremendously.

A child, who has been over protected and habitually given whatever he or she wanted, would develop the entitlement mentality and would always put himself first. He would be ignorant of his parent's efforts. When he starts work, he assumes that every person must listen to him, and when he becomes a manager, he would never know the sufferings of his employees and would always blame others. This kind of person, may be good academically and may be successful for a while, but eventually would not feel a sense of achievement. He will grumble and be full of hatred and fight for more.
If we are this kind of protective parents, are we really showing love or are we destroying the kid instead?*

You can let your kid live in a big house, eat good meals, learn piano, watch a big screen TV. But when you are cutting grass, please let him experience it. After a meal, let him wash his plates and bowls together with his brothers and sisters. It is not because you do not have money to hire a maid, but it is because you want to love him in the right way. You want him to understand, no matter how rich his parents are, one day their hair will grow gray, same as the mother of that young man . The most important thing is your kid learns how to appreciate the effort and experience the difficulty and learns the ability to work with others to get things done.

Another jokes of the day!

A whopping RM1 758 432 was spent on developing six Facebook pages to promote Malaysian tourism said the Tourism Ministry.

Ridiculous isn’t it? A 6 years old can start a Facebook page for free, so why the hell they need to spend so much just to make few Facebook pages?

Facebook is FREE, that's one of the reasons more and more businesses are using it to promote their products and company. Even if u wanna do high-end Flash or other coding also do not need so much. To think that the Tourism Ministry threw away RM1.8 million of taxpayers' money on something that is free, makes me want to throw up.

This should be answered by Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen, the Minister of Tourism Malaysia coz even with this massive budget, they only managed to attract around 20k fans. And I guess this 20k Facebok fans would have been all the employees in Tourism ministry, their multiple kids and family because me myself never heard any of these pages before.

This is a prime candidate for the most ridiculous public project that Malaysian officials have done in 2011. The other two are the RM50million 1Malaysian email project and the RM1.4mil (hacked) 1Pengguna website .What an absurd waste of taxpayer money.

I’m not from IT field, but still I know few things about IT that is necessary for me to keep on the flow. And I can’t see any reason why they need to spend RM1.8m for designing, flash programming and coding, testing and debugging, uploading and launching the application, system server deployment and campaign management.

Flash is a freeware, even for license, it wouldn’t cost that much. System server deployment? Starting up server need money? Why do u need server in the first place? This is ridiculous! And flash programming and coding, testing and debugging, uploading and launching the application? This is the job of a programmer, just hire them and they'll do the rest, and all of the above don’t even cost 1.8m! This is a scam!

Even DAP’s Loke said “If Datuk Seri Ng Yen Yen has problems getting people to help start Facebook pages, DAP headquarters can help her out, we have people who can develop these things at no cost,”. This is so pathethic, Ministry of Tourism!

And please don’t be so arrogant by just dismissed the public grievances by vague, evasive and meaningless press statement. Madam Ng dares not give statement in Parliament coz she knows that she would be questioned over and over again by even her ally Khairy. Ok, Yen Yen just tell us how much did Australia spend on promoting tourism in Facebook which is just one of the many many social media in the world.

Australia spend RM150mil, Malaysia need RM1.8m, but please tell me the difference between Australia and Malaysia on the map? They are bigger than us more than 75 times! And do u know how 1+1 is??? Madam Ng, the truth is, ur promotion only attract Bangla, Nepalese and Indons to Malaysia but not the genuine tourist who really spent in our country. You're going on reverse Madam Ng. Shit I don't understand the way our ministers talk as though we are from different countries, and are enemies, within Malaysia.

And this is only the ones we know about, what about the wastages that are kept hidden from us?

To rub salt into the wound, the recent 1 Malaysia music and floral carnival that was held in Botanical Garden area in Penang on 11th and 12th of June, cost the Ministry of tourism RM1mil to put up. But still lack of publicity and the crowd was small and the events were disappointing and lack of attraction. And I am wondering what were the target visitors, the tourist or our own citizens? To spend such amount of money for what purpose and any return? Where is the KPI for this event?

I really believe it's time to change the Tourism Minister. It's not the first time she's wasting money like this.

The way government spending the RAKYAT money is as though our currency denomination is equivalent to the RUPIAH!! No wonder the government needs to table a RM13 billion Supplementary Bill! The way the govt is "throwing" away money and yet ask the rakyat to tighten their belts is hypocrisy of the highest order!

I make my own assumption on how this RM1.8 mil figure comes;

This is how it work...

1) TM puts out closed tender to 'crony' company

2) 'Crony' company(s) go out and find private companies to do

3) Private companies gives cost + percentage

4) 'Crony' company multiplies the cost

5) Submit...= 1.8 million.

Let's take a look at cost:

1) Web/Flash Programmer for 6 month@RM5,000 = RM30,000

2) 2 Artists @ RM3,000 for 6 months = RM36,000

3) Art Director @ RM5,000 for 1 month = RM5,000

3) Hosting fees (RM1,000 per 6 month..can be cheaper) = RM6,000

= RM77,000

RM 1,800,000/77,000...Awesome 23x profit...!

Ps : I found out that there’s a new Facebook page "Curi-curi Wang Malaysia" and get more fans than Tourism Malaysia...at zero cost !!!

Madam Ng must be saying this. "I whacked a bit u all made so much noise. My predecessor whacked so much also nothing happened to her. Some more after GE13, no chance leh..coz my boss Ah Leg said if we in GE13 fare worse than the last GE, we all have to 'ta pau' and go back to 'kampung'” (joking ;-p)

This is regarding to the latest news about the new club that being launched yesterday by Al-Arqam, the Obedient Wives' Club.

The Malaysian branch of the club, was formed as an answer to social problems such as infidelity, prostitution, domestic violence and abandoned babies, which its members believed stemmed from a lack of belief in God and the failure of women to keep their husbands content.

A wife must obey and serve her husband like "a first-class prostitute" to keep him from straying and to prevent greater social ills, according to the Obedient Wives' Club.OWC international vice-president Dr Rohaya Mohamed said women often forget their "wifely duties", including pleasuring their husbands in the bedroom.

Dr. Rohaya Mohamad, what I think is, u may have good objective but with inappropriate way of telling them.

Well, I may not be the best person to talk about this, but I strongly believed that u supposed to use another words instead of whore or prostitute to address wives.

'Prostitute' is a negative profession in ways more than one. Never apply the same thing to wives. Why disgrace the status of wives to put them in the same level as prostitutes?

Plus I don't recall God saying women are whore.

Any relationship is a 2 way thing. A wife is a lifetime partner in more ways than one. It's true that sex is an all important ingredient in a relationship but not the only one. Women have needs and desires too. They need to be valued and desired as women first and not as sexual objects only.

The world has moved on and society has evolved. I understand that this kind of thinking is hard to be accepted in today's age. Women should be treated as equal partners and men should please women too beyond just sex. The largest sexual organ is not between the legs but the grey matter up there.

Let say if marriage is just all about sex, what happens when u are old and no longer attractive to ur husband?

That’s why it takes both hands to clap. Mutual respect is the key.

Once a man and a woman agreed into the contract named marriage, the issue of fulfilling each other's sexual needs is assumed to have been understood by both party. The problems arises due to lack of recommitment on either side. Marriage is a responsibility, each party should recommit themselves to making the marriage a life-long and happy one. It is also a religious duty to serve ur wife/ husband rightfully and to his/her satisfaction.

The effective way is of course, one must have a proper and disciplined upbringing where they are internatilized with their respective religious education, respect for God and fellow human of both gender. Men who respect themselves, their religions, their God and their fellow human-beings, men and women, will not be irresponsible to their wives. If women must fulfill God's Laws, so must men - be faithful to their wives.

And since medias brought this story up, so many people had voice out their dissatisfaction, especially the non-muslim women.

Yes, u all have ur own right to entitle ur opinion, but please people, if u want to voice out ur dissatisfaction, don’t go overboard. Don’t blame the religion for this. Terok lah if like this. How to be a developed nation when we are focussed only on condemning someone or something? If u want to hentam, hentam nicely but also offer some positive feedback.

Don’t start attacking Islam. It is not the religion, it is the people. The same with violence. Just because someone of a certain faith murders someone, and say he did it in the name of his religion, doesn’t mean the religion is bad. No religion condones violence and bad things and nonsense like this. So get over it and start looking beyond religion and race. Learn and instill some tolerance in ourself please.

Do not base human behavior and judge the religion. The religion is perfect and independent but not the imperfect human.

But here again I would emphasise that I’m not opposing the idea, because they have a good objective. The idea sure is weak but the objective is good.

Sex is only a part of marriage life and a wife's job is not only to satisfy but to also be satisfied. Let the love flame burns to their break of days.

Ps. : It's no wrong to wear sensual lingerie to ur hubby rather than kain batik and baju kelawar with mouth smells sambal belacan. Like Ludacris would say, "She's a lady outside but a freak in the bed." ;-)

TNB Electricity Tariffs Hike is Killing Us!

The Najib administration announced it will raise electricity prices by an average 7.12 per cent from June 1 (tomorrow) in an effort to trim its burgeoning subsidy bill, but promised the hike will not affect some 75 per cent of domestic consumers.

Officials said natural gas prices would also rise by RM3.00 per mmBtu each six months until it reached market levels. They also announce d that the waiving of electricity bills for domestic users who record less than RM20 per month would cease this coming December. The government said it will still spend some RM25 billion to subsidise the gas bill this year.

Well maybe for some people, this price increase is just like taking away their breakfast money. But for poor folks, it's more than breakfast. Trust me, I've been poor before and I know the feeling of sleeping on total empty stomach.

What will all these hikes lead to, of course more hikes! What will the hikes do to the daily lives of the population? Who are the ones who are going to suffer most? Definitely not those who order the hikes but the average citizens whose incomes are fixed, whose wages are not rising in tandem with these hikes.

Yeah, 75% of households not affected, directly. The indirect effects would be higher major consumer items. The government is telling the half truth and don't say what u don't like to hear. With the increase in electricity bill which affects all manufacturers, all consumer items are expected to cost more. Hence, there will be indirect price increase for even the poor folks.

More hike to come. Petrol is next. Then all goods follow, which mean all UP UP WE GO. Salary is the only thing not going up.

Thank u Mr. PM, ur Economic Transformation Plan is working very effectively to convert middle-class Malaysians into poor Malaysians and poor Malaysians into desperate poor! I cannot ask for more, u are right from the beginning, rakyat didahulukan.

I would be happy to see what the government supporter would say and wait until the day they complaint, then it might be too late. Or maybe they won’t complain at all because every time they open their mouth to do so they will get wang ihsan.

The government can only says the people are addicted to 'the opium' but who are the ones who introduced the opium to them? What poor leaders we have!

Honestly speaking, when Idris Jala came to the front, I told my friends, Malaysian economy has hope. Now, I regret what I said. It would have been better if we had taken the bitter pill dispensed by the IMF during the monetary crisis. We would felt the pressure back then, but we won't be suffering today.

The government always comes up with reason for the hike, assuming and presuming that public will understand. Well the simple truth is we are oil producing country. Comparing our mismanagement to the neighboring countries is always the trend by the ruling party politician’s. Public is getting tired of this. People have to think wisely and select government to manage the countries resources wisely. If there is no comparison the public always will be at the mercy of the politicians who is only care for their cronies. Please wake up and do the right thing.

Just wait, and soon u will hear this countermeasure / advised to reduce inflation from minister mouth; to all beloved Malaysian citizen, kindly tighten more ur stomach belt and do more saving. Spend whenever is necessary. If u feel electric is too expensive for u, please buy candle to lighten ur house at night. Soonest or later, government will impose tax on candle due to good demand from poor citizen. Funny isn’t it?

I don't know what we have to do to the stretch the ringgit any further. It's been stretched as far as it can. Wages aren't going up. U can't certainly change ur lifestyle any more cause we changed it the last time "barang naik". We're at our wits' end!

If like this rakyat have to bear, better no need for Defence Ministry to buy this and that. No need for Najib to organise youth camp and watch Champions League Final, no need for private jets and trips to London to attract imaginary tourists. Just do ur job protecting us the rakyat!

And seriously, I thought Malaysia is a net oil exporter country? When oil price go up ,the country should get more revenue? Why are we cutting subsidies when the country’s revenue is increased? Can some expert explain this?

As at 1 January 2008, the natural gas reserves in Malaysia stood at 88.0 trillion standard cubic feet (tscf) or 14.67 billion barrels of oil equivalent, approximately three times the size of crude oil reserves of 5.46 billion barrel.

Of this, 33.5 trillion standard cubic feet (tscf) or 38% is found off the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, 41.8 tscf (48%) offshore Sarawak and the remaining 12.7 tscf (14%) offshore Sabah. At the current rate of production, Malaysia's gas reserves expected to last another 36 years.

They are messing up our natural resources, expect FDI to leave as well!!! Unemployment will increase!!

1Malaysia Email by Tricubes SUCK!

Our beloved Prime Minister has made an announcement today that every adult Malaysian will be given a 1 Malaysia email account and this will be a RM50 million project, awarded to company named Tricubes.

I know, every one of was like ‘shit man!’ in ur heart, rite?

One question need to be asked to Najib, hello Mr. PM, email account can get for free, why on earth pay RM50 mil for something that one can get for free?

There goes to waste my tax money. 1Malaysia again, 1Malaysia my foot!

If u want to connect between government and rakyat, just open a page in facebook and post whatever rubbish u want to post. More effective! Who's going to check their emails all the time by the way? Obviously, I am not. Stop wasting people’s money u idiot!

So insensitive of the government. Here the rakyat is struggling to make out a living with the high inflation cost and low salary, but the government wants to splash money on what is not a necessity.

Here we talk about public fund, not their parents money! RM50millions is a lot of money! We are very happy with our free Yahoo, Gmail, and Hotmail account and we don't need and don't trust the 1Malaysia email, period! Nothing had been done under 1Malaysia and we for sure don't need 1Malaysia to be involved in email. Get a grip, do something prudent with our money!

What’s the point of this email by the way? My yahoo mail has been performing ok for a dozen or so years already. Me fail to understand lah this rubbish that comes out from our Malaysian leaders nowadays!!!

How do u even begin to justify RM50 million (seven zeros) creating a service which will not even be in use??! How do u suppose ur citizens in less developed areas access this email when they do not even have an internet connection to begin with? My TAX dollars are being spent to bail out a company run by the son of "someone".

Considering the fact that Malaysia has 27.5 million people, of which 50% is 18 and above, which is about 13.75million, and how many of the 50% are not IT savvy? Why not let the citizen vote and see who wants this? I'm sure the RM 50 million can be spent on a lot of other very important things.

And furthermore, if want to award contract, then should call for open tender, they should not simply give contract to unknown company that is almost bankrupt. This Tricube company, which is currently in danger of being delisted from Bursa Malaysia for financial irregularities, is a failing company and in needs of cash injection.

Really, I’m interested to know who runs this firm? Can we stop this email nonsense and start thinking on more pertinent issues. There are so many daily issues that affects us and we want to provide email service to all 18 and above? Can someone please find out why the chicken price shot up? What the cluck? Is the government of the day seriously looks into how it can help the Malaysians on the daily bread and butter issues? Like, does the government know how many times the cooking gas price shot up and why? And to rub salt into the wound, we are a petroleum producing country!!! Ok so we sell our oil to get huge profit right? So where does the money go to? To fund some half cooked no brainer email service at the expense of the citizens! This project is to inject financial stability to ailing Tricubes, thumbs down!

This is day light robbery. Making use of taxpayers' money to enrich their cronies. Rakyat are not stupid. How will the rakyat support government when most of the rakyat can hardly make ends meet and how many of these rakyat are going to use it to communicate with the government. What a frivolous idea!!! C’mon wake up Mr. PM!

And to Idris Jala, well done to u! So giving subsidies will bankrupt Malaysia, but frivolous expenditure will not?? This is utter animal waste. What do u think we are? Stupid???

This 1Malaysia email is a complete joke, another thing to be laughed about by our global neighbours. Auditor-General please audit this nonsensical 1 Malaysia e-mail company urgently to find out what happened to the RM50 million tax payers money.

“Najib who announced the project clarified early this morning that the email account is entirely voluntary. The PM’s statement came hours after his Performance and Management Delivery Unit Pemandu officials also took to the micro-blogging service to quell a furore over the email service which some said was a waste of the announced RM50 million investment “1Msia Email address is NOT compulsory for all Msians 1Msia Email is a private sector-led initiative by Tricubes Berhad with investment from the company.”

Both statements contradicted Tricubes Bhd’s filing to the Bursa Malaysia early this month on April 4 in which the IT firm said it had been awarded the email project by the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit Mampu.

And if no public funds, what is this appointment by the government and why do u need an appointment by the government if it is truly a private initiative.

Ever wonder if these so called politicians are actually doing anything productive or even deliberated and processed their thoughts before releasing these stupid ideas to the public. Stop wasting the country's resources and if they are employees of private corporations, they would have been FIRED by now!

Talk about being a high income nation by 2020, more like joining our pals in Africa and Bangladesh. Even China is moving far ahead of us in terms of mentality, economical advancement and etc.

But not for Berita Harian newspaper. They drew a cartoon to make fun of people’s misfortune in Japan. They are so disgusting and never meant for normal people with brains and moral.

The paper has brought untold disrepute and great shame to the entire nation and all Malaysians. Typical mentality of national newspapers in Malaysia! Their attitude and perception reflect the mentality of their masters in the ruling government. Disgraceful!

Isn't this proof that Berita Harian proving itself to be a newspaper owned by idiots, run by idiots, and only read by idiots? A cartoon is really bad taste. So, they have sort of cultivated the habit of doing such a despicable act till the extent that even the disaster in Japan to them is fun to talk about.

And now they want to apologise? And as usual, their apology sounds hollow. What is the point of apologizing ? The damage is done. It's too late. It's already on CNN and many other media. The whole world is now watching it. How other country is going to view us when they pick up this news?! Tasteless and absolutely pathetic!! Poking fun at people's misfortune is not funny at all, and make urself like a dumb clown.

Home Minister what are u going to do about it? Malaysia has been disgraced.

And don’t forget that Japanese companies are among the biggest investor in Malaysia, what if they take this issue seriously and start to move out from Malaysia!!!! Does anyone know this impact????

The Chief Editor and the person who drew the cartoon ought to be accountable for this matter, resign or be fired!!! An apology is not good enough. People has to learn how to be accountable for their wrong doing and not be protected all the time. This is a very serious mistake, it is insulting to the Japanese and also bring shame to the whole nation.

One more funny thing from Malaysia that bring us disgraceful; just watched the 8.00pm news and wonder why the hell is our "SMART RESCUE TEAM" STILL ON STANDBY while the news mentioned far away teams from USA, UK, Switzerland has already begun their rescue mission. And just a note :- our "tiny" neighbour SINGAPORE rescue team departed on 12th Saturday morning.

The Malaysians were never respected by the establishment. U see, whenever the president of the United States speaks with the press, he is always standing up right, looking his best. Look at the way the Malaysian ministers speak with the press, they are always seated. To make matter worst, they always slouch in their seats as if they are watching TV at home. In the very same way, that is the same attitude the establishment treat Malaysians even through the press, insensitive and have no respect for the readers.

Campus Election : Pro-M vs. Pro-A

Students are future leaders and they should lead the way to a better Malaysia. Academics should be there to support them and provide intellectual guidances. Campus elections are the first taste of democratic processes for most youths.

Only a selected few are able to enjoy such experiences where the campaigning and promotion of manifestos are almost similar to the real political elections. They are supposed to elect the student governments. But when the administration try to overplay their bias EC roles then the experiences will be bad.

Pakatan Rakyat (PR) has emerged as the winner in this week’s campus elections after big gains by pro-reform candidates. Very encouraging sign indeed. In spite of the government influence and presence in the campus, opposition to the government is getting stronger and stronger each day.

Although the pro-Mahasiswa faction that won big insists it is not a front for Pakatan Rakyat (PR), it supports a reform agenda that gels with the coalition’s policies and rhetoric. It believes that the votes it gained among the collective student body of about 200,000 were a result of dissatisfaction with the laws and other establishment policies.

A wave of political activism gripped university students during the recently-concluded campus polls, with the fracas in Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) that injured six people two days ago highlighting their disenchantment with university authorities. The government has had to step in and encourage discussion instead of discipline after the disqualification of 33 pro-Mahasiswa candidates by the varsity’s deputy vice-chancellor Fauzi Ramlan.

Although they were quickly reinstated, a determined group of 100 students had camped overnight in front of the student affairs department to demand an explanation. It ended up in a scuffle with security guards when they tried to force their way up to Fauzi’s office, which resulted in a shattered glass door that wounded three guards and students each.

The pro-Mahasiswa faction, which lobbies for student autonomy instead of government authority, made extensive gains in this year’s student elections, winning in seven universities, including the coveted Universiti Malaya, out of 20.

Pro-Mahasiswa campaigned for the devolving of power to student bodies and the abolition of “oppressive laws that restrict basic human rights” such as the University and University Colleges Act (UUCA), the Internal Security Act (ISA), Sedition Act and the Printing Presses and Publications Act (PPPA).

I personally salute to the student movement for their noble effort and wish that the "older" folks will just drown in their guilt and keep their silence if they are not going to say the right thing that is good for the future of these young minds who will inherit the mess that we create.

By the way, if youngsters want to see reforms, it’s up to them. There's no logic in youngsters repeating everything u old timers do. The old timers may not be afraid of the young, but u people are definitely afraid of changes. That's how the federal government remained for 50 over years, I guess.

The fact is, many countries reform because of student movements. These are people without any vested interest, financial burden to worry about and they are out idealists. Older folks are mostly tainted by their own acceptance of the corrupting ways of government, hence, afraid to confront the current regime.

Like most countries in the middle east and many young people under 40 years old in Malaysia, all these students had never seen or taste an alternative government. No wonders, their blood boiled with enthusiasm and a desire for a change. Libya has been ruled by Gadafi for 42 years, and Malaysia has been ruled by the same party for 48 years (since 1963). Tell me that is not long enough.

Some of people might blatantly so ignorant to be unaware that these undergraduates are the nation's future leaders? If at this University level they are not allowed political awareness, what is going to happen to the progressiveness for tomorrow? Are they not the flower of our future?

By keeping university students out of mainstream politics this is what could be expected. It is stupidity to treat an 18 years old as kids who don't know between right and wrong. The voting age should be brought down to 18 years instead of the present 21. When an 18 year old can marry and raise a family why not he or she be given the right to vote at that age.

And yes, I just remember one fun fact. Isn’t Saiful Bukhari a leader in the Pro Aspirasi faction? He is doing good now. No need to work since 2008 and have enough money to do everything including a haj and a romance on the side. LOL. I remember the pro government movement, Aspirasi once consider changing their name to Penggerak Siswa after word breaks out that Saiful Bukhari is once a leader of Aspirasi. Plus, the government's effort forcing the Sodomy II farce down our throats is really denting Pro Aspirasi's image among students today.

Finally I would like to congratulate to all the winners. To the losers do not be disheartened - if u firmly believe in the principles u stood for in the election - stay focused and continue the good fight. This is what a civil and democratic election should teach all of of us, old and young alike.

Once a result has been determined, then winners and losers should close rank and do all that they can to see that their Universities progress for the good of all. Losers should not oppose merely for opposition sake, but put forth constructive ideas and suggestions. Winners should not dismantle everything and reinvent the wheel. Accept what is good and improve what is weak and lacking.

The students have made their choices, now it’s time for them to implement what they have promised. This is what Democracy is all about. The future for our country looks bright - not because of pro PR or pro BN students - but because democracy is at work.

Egypt's Revolution

It looks like the Arab countries are experiencing some kind of revolution.

The Egyptian uprising broke out last week due to public frustration with corruption, oppression and economic hardship under Hosni Mubarak’s 30-years rule.

It has been reported that at least 140 protesters have been killed in demonstrations across the country especially after pro-Mubarak supporters opened fire on protesters camped in Cairo’s Tahrir Square.

The protests are part of the regional uprising inspired by the popular revolt in Tunisia which overthrew President Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali last month. The fall of the Tunisian regime, riots on the streets of Pakistan, Morocco and now Egypt are all fundamentally related to unfair distribution of wealth and income, spiking food and commodity prices and a staggering rise in unemployment.

As we can see, protests against Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak’s rule have clearly worried Israel, which signed a peace treaty with its largest Arab ally more than 30 years ago, and uncertainty over Egypt’s future has raised fears about stability in the region.

The US and Israel are shitting in their pants now fearing the ouster of Mubarak. With Mubarak gone and a new fair minded President in power is just what the Egyptians need. Any sane minded person can see that Mubarak is a lackey of the US and Israel. With US monetary aid to Egypt close to US 2 billion yearly, Mubarak hears and obeys Israel to shut the doors on Gaza. With Mubarak gone, the barricade of Gaza is over. And when that time comes, Viva Palestine!

If we look closely at what is going on there, we know that much of the revolt is fueled by the educated class. The last time Malaysia had a revolt, it was fueled by the incumbent government’s sponsored thugs. But not so in Iran, Tunisia and Egypt.

The lame brained Hosni Mubarak now says he never wanted to be appointed for another term as President. He will step down in September. Eh wait, what did u say? SEPTEMBER?!

This is insulting the intelligence of 80 million Egyptians. I hope they throw him out by Sunday. Go away Mubarak! We all knew that ur wealth total estimate is around US$40-70bil. Is that not enough to feed u and ur family? Damn that is more that Bill Gates wealth dude! And about 40 percent of Egypt’s population live off less than $2 a day! Thanks to u, Mubarak!

Obama, meanwhile, is certainly going down on the wrong side of history by backing the end to Mubarak’s rule. He has instead called for a smooth transition to an orderly government. The Americans have signed the death warrant on Hosni Mubarak. Now they are using the phrase ‘peaceful transition.’ This likely is the end of Hosni Mubarak. The Americans made him, now they can replace him. By the way, the American already pointed successor El Baradei is also ‘US-er friendly’.

So beware Egyptians. What is happening is great, but still have to be very cautious. Even if the dictator is out, the system is still in place. Some of Mubarak people are still around, and u are in a very tricky situation. In this transitory period the reformers must show moderation. At the same time, the whole system should be dismantled; the fact that the dictator is out is not enough. Still have to be very cautious about the “true” results of this situation. It is clear that there will be no going back; try moving towards a more democratic system, but this democratic system should be truly democratic, with transparent elections and all the rest.

We are concerned, but not selfish to interfere other countries' business for own benefit by pretending to care about people. We help in any way we can for justice and freedom. Muslims who are observer without doing anything to help the oppressed are not real muslims.

Plus, it was a peaceful demo, at least before police decided to be rough and start arresting the protestors. Men, don’t u guys got a corrupted leaders to arrest instead of arrested innocent protesters?

From Shaking Hands To Chopping Off Hands

“Normala will not come here to a Chinese temple, she doesn't even shake hands with the people. I have received complaints about this. She is like Anwar Ibrahim's wife. She wears gloves when she shakes hands. If you can accept this kind of Islamic value, go ahead and vote for PAS," Chua Soi Lek.

I was like shocked when read this (regarding of Tenang by-election where Normala is candidate from PAS).

What the hell is wrong with Chua Soi Lek? Where he put his brain on? The lady wants to follow her religion and use gloves to shake hands, so what’s the problem? Chua Soi Lek's brains must be in his dick, that's the problem. What a moron would say something like this.

Can the MCA president explain whether being caught for committing adultery is acceptable to the human race? Eh wait, first and foremost, can an adulterer be the president of a political party representing Chinese.

Dude! What important is the rakyat's welfare and not trival issues like shaking hands or not!!!! Why would want to blame her for not shaking hands. I rather have her than having ever friendly one who is more likely to be a corrupted one. CSL, not everyone is as open as urs dude!

Let me remind my Chinese and Indian brothers and sisters, shaking of hands is never an oriental culture. They don’t do it in China, India, Japan or Korea. It is a Western custom (even in western culture, it is more polite to wait for the lady to extend her hand rather than the man initiate a handshake, if the lady does not initiate a hand shake, it is fine). Why are we so keen to keep this not so clean habit? During SARS crisis, even the orang putehs don’t shake hands.

Refined Chinese culture does not encourage the shaking of hands even between man and man, much less between man and woman, Chinese greetings uses clasped hands in paying obeisance or bows to an elder, and ladies use a form of courtesy in a charming manner.

Plus, how can the issue of hand shaking is more important than the massive corruption in our government body? They have nothing left to say about TBH’s death; about endemic corruption; about custody deaths. They can’t talk about equality and equal opportunity; about gross incompetency and stupidity in so many of the government programmes and policies. They can’t talk about gross abuses of privatisation, and they can’t talk about gross abuses of NEP from APs, tenders, civil service positions, scholarships to formation and management of GLCs, and the management of natural resources.

The politics in Malaysia has come down to this. No debate about education, no debate about human rights and what the politicians will fight for or stand. It is about whether u will shake other people's hand. What a lowdown.

Islamic values and the Holy Quran teach us to live in peace with one another regardless of race and religion. Plus I totally would rather give my vote to someone who won’t shake my hand then to someone who shakes my hand for the purpose of getting my vote, and after the election cheats on me, the tax payer.

Well I still can hold myself with this porn star if he ridiculed Islam. He is not a muslim after all. He said it out of ignorance. I mean what can u expect from a porn star right? But what really pissed me off is when something like this coming from our very own muslim people. Read the following;

(Malaysia Chronicle) - Johor Mentri Besar Ghani Othman has warned voters in Tenang not to vote for PAS, otherwise the Islamist party may “chop off your hands for stealing”.

Chua remarks were mild compare to Johor minister Ghani Othman. Mind u he is muslim! He ridiculed his own religion. This is the worst crime made by a muslim if he still want to call himself as a muslim. Those word don’t come from LIm Guan Eng, LIm Kit Siang, Theresa Kok and not even Karpal Singh.

Ghani’s astonishing and many say irresponsible comments come a day after MCA president Chua Soi Lek had derided PAS candidate Normala Sudirman and PKR president Wan Azizah for wearing gloves when they shook hands with the public.

Ghani, u are certainly sick and not fit to be a leader. Only those who steal fear their hands will be chopped off! Then why were u so afraid and want to afraid others? Many rakyat do not steal and have u heard of anyone in Kelantan having their hands chopped off?? U think the rakyat are peasants who can be cheated and fooled easily?? Win votes fairly and people will say u have class! Have you?? Just a little bit of advice, just make sure u do not "steal" okay, if u want something ask! Don't just simply take and spend as though the money belongs to ur government!

Those people in government fear Islamic law because they are thieves. If Islamic law were to be implemented like in Saudi Arabia, these thieves hands would be the first to be chopped off.

Again I repeat, only thieves will be afraid to get hands chopped off.

It is one thing to make fun of PAS. It is another to make fun of Islam. Malays are extremely sensitive about their race and religion, sometimes to an extreme. Ghani may be seen as making fun of Islam rather than making fun of PAS. He is walking on very thin ice here.

He should beware coz this quip may come back to haunt him as it did Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who made a remark about the Prophet Muhammad’s beard. Until today this remark by Dr Mahathir refuses to go away and even Umno admits that this was probably one of the gravest mistakes he ever made -- making fun of the Prophet’s appearance.

The World is Round

The blog is mouldy. I apologise for the laziness and unscheduled time of updating my blog this lately, and here is doing what a lazy blogger does; mumbling.

The world is round, ur act today will decide what’s going to happen on u tomorrow.

All of us knew this, but still, it’s hard for us to behave. Selfishness, arrogant, liar, corrupt and etc. People tend to have these all negative values.

One quick question, are we, and all living beings just survival machines, blindly programmed to preserve the selfish molecules known as genes, as what Richard Dawkins states?

One must bear in mind that life is not just about him/herself, life is way more than that, life is about everything, including taking care of people around us.

If u asked me what is the purpose of life? I believe that the purpose of life is to be happy and make people around u happy and at the same time have faith in ur religion.

Love gives meaning to our lives, as do friendship, or art or faith in God. These are factors of true happiness, of inner peace, of feelings of harmony, allowing meaning to our existence.

I’m sorry to say but the fact is whether we realise it or not, at our mother breast, we tasted not only milk but also love, just enough love to know that it was the only thing that could ever satisfy us and that we will miss it forever.

And while we talking about mother, I would like to emphasise and reminded myself and all of u out there, that among everyone around us, the one that we really need to put the interest first, is not our girlfriend or boyfriend, but our beloved parents. This is not me who speak this, but from our God.

It goes like this; for the betterment of life therefore, Allah has prescribed some permanent values including:

(i) u should obey only Allah’s laws.

(ii) u should make good the deficiencies of ur old parents.

(iii) If one or both of them grow old, u should not prod or reproach them but speak to them respectfully (36:68),

iv) u should give them protection with all the affection and say "O my Rabb ! (Enable me) to provide them means of nourishment as they had raised me from childhood.

U should do all this, not in a mechanical manner but from the core of ur heart keeping always in mind that what u do for ur parents helps in the development of ur own self. Allah is the Protector of those who revert to Him for His protection." (17:23-25)

Now I'm not the most religious person ever, in fact me myself always making mistakes, but when I look around, it always made me realize that I should start thinking on how to become a better muslim.

But the reality is, mostly if not all, people tend to follow the worst. We always see the better, and approve. But finally, we still follow our worst instinct. We tend to disobey our parents, tend to be selfish among others.

Guys, it won’t kill us if we being good with each others. The truth is, u won’t lose even a penny of ur money (unless if they borrow ur money la) by being kind with ur family, friends and anyone who needs help.

Plus, it’s crazy to assume that something that has happened once in this universe will not repeat. So why obsess? Yes money is important (let say u got a problem with ur financial), but remember, money is just a printed paper, so don’t let this ‘piece’ of printed paper ruin our life. I do remember the love of life and the life of love. It’s so easy, as far as I recall. It’s so easy to make a smile, so we should repeat it all the time.

There will be a day when u, that now are escaping from love, will see urself old and deserted, condemned to drag through the nights alone, in ur frozen bedstead. U don’t want that don’t u?

The miracle is not to fly in the air, or to walk on the water, but to walk on the earth. Be nice to people on ur way up because u'll need them on ur way down, take note of that.

Malaysian Tigers : Well Done!

Malaysia won the AFF-Suzuki Cup on a 4-2 aggregate in front of a partisan crowd, in what is being touted as the first sign of a revival of the national football team's fortunes.

At first I thought it’s hard to beat Indonesia team and I guess Malaysians knew that we won't stand a chance of beating Indons in their own backyard, and that was why the 3-0 advantage made a lot of difference. Despite that, still Harimau Muda were able to sneak in 1 goal pass the bald goal keeper and it was really a beautiful goal.

I am so happy and proud!

The Malaysian team did great and deserved to win after going through horrendous media circus from both Malaysia and also from Indon. Believe me, we Malaysians were also relieved for the team to have won the cup.

For me, yesterday's tournament wasn't exactly just about the cup, it was also about bringing back our country's pride and honour. Malaysians shared part of the criticism, the remarks and jeers made by Indon media and their supporters.

Before the tournament, much horrible remarks were made by Indon media and fan blogs. Some even called us Malaysian "Maling" or "Maling Asia" in other words thief or theft of Asia, racist country, stupid people, crazy country, can't play football, weak and so on. It was hurtful, but despite all that we Malaysian has proof that we are better than them.

Rajagopal and team show the real Malaysia Boleh spirit. Good goalkeeping and Arsenal-level passing in front of the goal (first leg at Bukit Jalil), simply beautiful and fun to watch.

For the first time in my life, I have seen such a great enthusiasm shown by Malaysian towards Malaysian Football. Thanks Mr. K.Rajagobal and the whole team for making that happen.

Sport has always united countries. I remember South Africa during the apartheid era where only sports do not discriminate colours. The great Nelson Mandela did unite his nation when South Africa winning on the Rugby World Cup in 1995. 15 years later yet again a sporting event has united a nation, thanks to K Rajagopal and his talented young Malaysians. U don't need to spend millions to APCO to unite a nation. ;-P

From this victory, it will spur our national team to perform even better in years to come. I hope the government will start to give them better support and please don’t spoil them with money and Datukship awards. Please prevent politicians and others with their own hidden agendas from interfering with this team and don't reward them sky high like what the government did for the Thomas Cup winning team. We should learn from mistake. Just see what happen to badminton so call stars? After winning the Thomas Cup they went downhill like avalanche. To date we have not seen the recovery of the team.

How our boys going to fare in the future would depend on them 100%. What we should really do is to support them along the way and be critically positive with them, not negative. They have a long way plus many battles to come, but a good team doesn't just pops out from nowhere; they have got to start from somewhere and for a start, winning the AFF cup is a good omen. We Malaysians need to criticize less and be a good sport for a change. I think it's high time that we do.

But still, we have to be realistic. The truth is, the team has a long way to go. We were once ranked 75 in August in 1993. In the last 17 years, we have plummeted to 144 in the world. Not to pour cold water on this victory, but we have a long way to go. As long as the team uses this victory as a momentum to keep moving forward, there is a possibility of this team becoming a powerhouse in Asian football again and hopefully present itself into the the top100 teams in the world again.

Being SEA GAMES and AFF Suzuki Cup winners now is just an eye opener to the rest that we are waking up, that's all. A lot more needs to be done. Every other SEA country will start beefing up their team now. Every Asian team will take notice.

Iran, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Australia are those we want to spar with next. Now we need to face them, get slaughtered, learn from the mistake and go back for the kill!

Till then...we await their mauling! Hidup Harimau Malaysia!

Ps. : For the Malaysian fans, I think we need to show more respect to the other team and make sure that the same thing does not happen as in the first leg where there is fireworks and well, laser. This only tarnishes the victory and people will remember us for what we did and not how the game went. It takes a lot of the glory away. So to those who were responsible for the uncivilised display, please don’t do it again and spoil our name. Remember, we are Malaysians and we are a civilized society.

This man is no ordinary people, no ordinary director, no ordinary hacker. This is the man who has wrecked governments worldwide with classified material leaks, and he named it Wikileaks.

Please don’t get it wrong, WikiLeaks is not affiliated with Wikipedia, it got nothing to do with Wikipedia.

WikiLeaks is an international new media non-profit organisation that publishes submissions of private, secret, and classified media from anonymous news sources and news leaks and brings it to public.

Basically we got to know a whole lot of ‘dirty little secret’ that was done by many countries that got connection with US from this Wikileaks. This ‘dirty little secret’ is so damn dirty that could lead to the next world war.

Let me asked u, have u ever imagine that Saudi had been asked US to attack Iran? Sound crazy rite? Well this is the reality, based on the Wikileaks, King Abdullah asked the United States of America to launch military strikes on Muslim Iran.

What the hell is this all about? Why want to destroy the country that fight for Islam? This is what I’m talking about, this Wikileaks is crazy. Crazy in unique way.

Others revealation by WikiLeaks ; American diplomats have a low opinion of the thuggish Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi where they call him "feckless." Equally underwhelming are the revelations that Nikolas Sarkozy is "temperamental" and Muammar al-Gaddafi likes flamenco and blondes. What is more, some of Iran's Arab neighbors look to Tehran with fear and loathing, Afghan politicians are corrupt, and American corporations lobby the Congress.

Our country, Malaysia, also not be exceptional in topics of Wikileaks. Wikileaks has exposed that Singapore leader saying bad thing to some of Malaysia’s leaders; Anwar and Najib. Lee Kuan Yew was reported saying that Anwar “knowingly walked” into a sodomy trap and Najib got something to say about Altantuya. I leave about this case here, and hope both of the leaders will answer the allegation with the truth and fact.

These revelations of Wikileaks are indeed causing unpleasant domestic situations all around the world, and creating electoral problems and other political embarrassments for governments everywhere.

But what I do not understand here is, Wikileaks seems to poison every countries; BUT Israel.

Let us ponder for a second about the meaning of ‘leaking’. When something is leaking, it is usually understood that some fluid substance that is supposed to be flowing in a certain direction, is escaping from its designed route because of a defect in the structure that was built to guide it.

Usually, if u have a leaking pipe in ur water system, ur main problem is that u are unable to control the flow of it, and water goes into directions where u don’t want it to be going.

However, the definition of ‘Wikileaking’ seems to be following entirely different laws of nature. Indeed, the information is flowing away from the secret pipelines it was originally guided into. However, the strange thing about ‘Wikileaking’ is that Israel, a country widely known for its secret dealings and cunning intelligence service, is managing to keep dry feet in spite of the massive political flooding.

Weird isn’t it?

What many of us seem to be failing to notice is that although the list of countries that were painfully embarrassed by the publication of their secret cables, memo’s and meetings, includes the Palestinian Authority, Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states, Egypt and the United States itself where Obama is suffering from serious problems from a ‘Tea Party’ he was not invited to, one of the main actors in the dirty political game of Middle East animosities and alliances is remaining completely unharmed: Israel.

Shit isn’t it?

What are Wikileaks telling us? That Saudi Arabia poured oil on the flames against Iran? We already knew that. That Abbas’ administration as well as the Egyptian government were very well informed about Israel’s geonocidal military assault on Gaza in the winter of 2009? There is nothing new about that either.

The list goes on and on, and the main victims of embarrassment are leaders of Arab governments. But what is so new about that? Doesn’t almost every Arab in the world who reads newspapers, watches Al Jazeera and has a certain degree of understanding of Middle East politics, already know about the extent and scope of secret relations in the region? Even many knowledgeable people living outside of the Arab world are largely aware of this.

This is what we call as Cui Bono.

In politics there is a golden rule for understanding what may be the driving force behind unexpected mysterious events. This rule is known as ‘Cui Bono’, which is Latin for: ‘who benefits?’

U go and browse through all the news sources available on the latest Wikileaks revelation, and try to find even only one revelation that actually damages Israel, even though so many of the revealed documents are directly or indirectly connected to Middle East politics, and to a large extent to Israeli affairs. Did u find any document among them that either creates difficulties for the government of the Zionist entity, or even slightly embarrasses it? Think about it well, u will find that the answer is a very simple “No”.

The conclusion is, Cui bono? Israel.

They fight for water but they got watered!

Riot police fired tear gas and used water cannons on at least 1 000 protesters near the KL Railway Station as they marched to the Istana Negara to rally against a potential bailout of Selangor water utility companies, few days ago.

I just don’t get it, why need to be so harsh?

It was to be a peaceful march to deliver a memorandum to the Agong on the Selangor water issue, on behalf of Selangorians who will suffer when the price of water is raised without care for the people of Selangor.

Khalid’s administration is fighting for the rights over the water industry promised to provide the first 20 cubic metres water for free and maintain 12 per cent increase in water tariff compared to Syabas’ plans of a 25 per cent increase in 2012 and a 20 per cent increase in 2015.

Plus they also want to stop from the company keeps paying a huge wage to SYABAS CEO, RM425k a month! (Men, that is almost half of million ringgit a month, kalah gaji Najib!)

Just why a simple think like showing displeasure and nothing to do with national security has to go to extent of tear gas? Just because they are in the opposition they kena.

And why in the hell there was no news about this event in electronic media? That night, I waited for this event to be covered by TV3, but shite I was disappointed! Where was Tv3? Where was RTM? They supposed to cover this story and show it in their prime time news as what they always did before this if there were few monkeys protest to the opposition! So unfair!

And there were few complains recorded of the massive traffic jam. People, don't blame the poor fellas who were gassed and water cannoned for causing the jam please. If the police had been reasonable and allowed a peaceful march, there would not be traffic jams all over KL. It could have been a happy day for all.

These people are protesting against high prices. It is an economic issue and only political because there are parties that is mismanaging the country.

And please don’t forget Najib's line of "People First, Performance Now"?

People should support any move to stop burdening rakyat via crony projects. Instead of making a Tan Sri very rich, it is better to help the poor thousands irrespective of race!

Just my 2 cents, the police forces are the most pointless of all, while they carrying out order from their masters, their masters are having big fat lunch, shopping luxuriously away, or even having some "great time" with their mistresses / boy toys.

And as a result, they vent out on the innocent public, which they swore to protect.

What happened to the other pro-government demonstration the so call Anti-Irregularities Federation (GAPS) members gathered to protest against alleged misappropriation of funds by the Selangor government.

Are they allowed to demonstrate? No tear gas on them and water cannon. Obviously this is double standard of the POLICE.

My friend said he was there, and he said to me, if u were there, u know what’s happening, there’s nothing anarchic about this peaceful demo!

Police should know that the rakyat are not enemies of the states! Is it so difficult to understand?

When the rakyat is suffering from high prices of food, water and fuel, it is understandable that they wish to inform the Agong who is our last resort. Perhaps the Agong could stand up for the people!

If only just to send memo also cannot, why bother to call our country democracy?

All the way Selangor government and rakyat. U are not staging a demonstration but merely fighting for what belongs to the people. Away with corrupted.

Have u ever wonder how much the salaries of the minister in our country?

With all the mansions, the BMW’s, the Jaguar’s, Lexus and etc, no one can stop from wondering how much they made every month.

Prime minister, his deputy, the cabinet members, how much they made a month?

Here are the recent reports from Bernama regarding to the salaries of our politicians:

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 23 — The prime minister receives a monthly salary of RM22,826.65 according to the Members of Parliament (Emolument) (Amendment) Act 2005 which came into effect on January 1, 2004.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz said the deputy prime minister was paid RM18,168.15 while Cabinet ministers are paid RM14,907.20.

The monthly salary of a political secretary effective from January 1, 2004 was RM5,709.99, he said.

He said this in his written reply to N. Gobalakrishnan (PKR-Padang Serai) on the salary and allowances received by members of the Cabinet, political secretaries as well as the total emoluments and allowances paid to members of the Cabinet from 2005 until 2009 at the Dewan Rakyat sitting today.

Nazri said the total annual salaries paid to members of the Cabinet last year was RM5,470,942.40 and RM5,783,993.60 in 2008.

He said a total of RM5,858,529.60 was paid in 2007 while RM5,858,529.60 was paid in 2006 and RM6,007,601.60 in 2005. — Bernama

So here I make it in a point form:

-Prime minister : RM22,826.65
-Deputy P.M : RM18,168.15
-Cabinet Minister : RM14,907.20

Open ur eyes widely and look again, the highest position, Prime Minister only make RM22, 826.65.

So this is really mind boggling and defying the principles of accounting on how they and their family members can afford all those Porsche Cayennes and Lexuses.

It is a real joke coz how can salary like that can make these people live like a multi-millionaire.

Is it because of their prudent management of their wages? Well, if that so, kiss my arse.

While the salaries listed are surely sizable enough to the peasants and middle-income urbanites, the huge amount somehow couldn't just justify the huge extravagance displayed by some of the ministers.

Where does their car collection come from? Where does their huge mansions and additional wives come from? Are the numerous side-allowances included in the bill as well? Are there any financial records of the ministers directly dabbling in other businesses (which is, to the best of my knowledge, prohibited by the law)?

Well, RM22.8k may sounds too low for the top job. Checkout Singapore's salary for comparison, even Indonesia's president salary is higher. But that is not a big deal, coz like what our neighbour downsouth used to say, Singapore politicians are the highest paid in the world, but still he is the poorest in Asia. Got what I’m trying to say here?

One word, and that is ‘honesty’.

U only got what u deserve, u don’t steal from the people. That is gentleman. That is honesty. And I can see that in Singapore politicians.

Even though our leaders salaries may look kinda low, but take a look at their assets, and u will mesmerize with how ‘prudent’ they managed their money.

And what about other perks and privileges? Can they be put into black and white too?

Since we as a tax payers, we must be informed of annual income of PM, DPM, CABINET MINISTER, DEPUTY MINISTER and so on. At least all this information must be made known to public to as it involved their money. The government must make this in transparent manner every year. This is part of freedom of information.

It is so glaring that 'other income' is the motivation to get into politics. The 'dentist' will have to pull many teeth to afford the mansion that he has built with ill-gotten gains. But who is there to go after him-the anti-corruption office, the auditor general, the police, the PM's office?? Forget it they have more important work to do.

The MACC must says that the leaders know how to spend wisely unlike u silly Malaysians out there who spend money like nobody business. Don't u know the whole cabinet is such great, thrift, wise money spender that all the big houses and cars and millions and billions are the result of wise spending. Don't believe? Join them and u will find out soon enough!

Assume that some of the leader gets less than a PM, how come they can afford the Hilton in Adelaide, the $1mil mansion in the US and other properties in London and Canada? How can they afford about $1mil to travel overseas? Owh wait, of coz they can afford coz one of it was an educational trip to Disneyland to see how theme parks are built, so it must be paid by taxpayers money.

U guys taxpayers just shut up and let them do the job!

Ps : I wonder does MACC has the guts to cross-check the Cabinet and ministers' salaries with their available assets ? Until that day, we can forget about a clean government.

Dr. Rozmey : 2 Alam

Finally we get to know how far the movie 2 Alam, made by Dr. Rozmey can go. Not as far as he would like it to be, I afraid.

So far, the film only managed to make RM230k, still far to go to achieve RM40 millions target.

This is what u get when u are over confident on something. It’s good to have a plan, but make sure it is something that is rational and realistic, otherwise u just fooled urself.

The population of Malaysian citizen is only around 28 millions, so u need a lot of people to go and watch ur movie.

On average, 250,000 people watch local movies. It is a fact that most non-Malays do not watch Malay movies. They make up less than five per cent of the total audience.

Dr Rozmey's expectations for 2 Alam was way too ambitious. To hit RM40 millions, he needs to get at least four million people to the cinemas. Can it be achieved?

Here are three reasons why it is likely an impossible feat:

i. There is no doubt that Dr Rozmey is a popular brand but it is not synonymous with movies like Skop Productions, MIG Productions and KRU Studios. Local movie-goers support products by these companies because the producers have proved themselves.

Don't forget that MIG's first three films -- Syukur 21, No Problem and Mendam Berahi were duds.
Plus, 2 Alam is jointly directed by Hairie Othman and Ed Zarits Lokman, who have yet to prove themselves as film directors.

ii. The film about a transvestite who becomes a ghost was slapped with an 18PL rating from FINAS, which means movie-goers below 18 will not be allowed to watch the film in cinemas.

The highest grossing 18PL local film was V3 Samseng Jalanan, which made RM3.8 million. Mantra, a horror flick which was also slapped with an 18PL rating, only made RM3 million.

The 18PL rating will prevent school students from entering cinemas. The fact is, these students helped Adnan Sempit, Evolusi KL Drift 2, Cicakman, Jangan Pandang Belakang Congkak and Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula to make more than RM5 million at the box office.

The only way for 2 Alam to make RM40 million from a smaller audience is to ensure they watch the film more than ten times at the cinema.

iii. There are 552 cinemas throughout the country based on the latest National Film Development Corporation data.

Dr Rozmey said he would screen 2 Alam on more than 700 screens.WEIRD!

That means if 2 Alam opens on Nov 18, almost all cinemas in Malaysia will screen it. Hypothetically, if no other movies are shown and Malaysians have no choice but to watch 2 Alam because it will be the only film showing at that time, then there is a possibility that it might hit its target -- provided that Malaysians choose to fork out RM10 to watch the film.

But that scenario will only happen if the government intervenes and instructs all cinema operators to only screen 2 Alam.

And don’t forget that two biggest Malay movie markets -- Kelantan and Terengganu -- do not have a single cinema.

Through daily advertorials in a newspaper, Rozmey made preposterous announcements.

Among them were claims that 30 million Malaysians have sworn to watch 2 Alam when it opens in cineplexes, that the film will be shown in all 700 screens in the country, and the most ludicrous -- that cinema operators would postpone the release of Hollywood blockbuster Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 to make way for 2 Alam.

Rozmey's promotional team marketed the film using the "Ddr way" -- by marketing Rozmey instead of the film or its actors.

The film's posters feature not the stars, Aaron Aziz and Suhaillah Salam, but Rozmey. He also went on a solo promotional tour signing autographs and taking photos with fans. And he continued to make absurd claims in his advertorials and on his Facebook page.

On the days leading up to the opening of 2 Alam on Nov 18, one after another of his claims crumbled. Cinemas in Singapore did not show the film on Nov 18. The film also failed to open in Brunei that day.

A week after he announced that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1's release would be delayed by a week, GSC Cinemas announced that the film would open on Nov 17, a day earlier than 2 Alam.

On opening day, the first two slots for the movie played to almost empty halls across the country prompting some cinema operators to move it to smaller halls for the evening slots. Even then, the movie played to half full seats. The film was shown on fewer than 60 screens.

But still, Rozmey confidently announced on his Facebook page that the film was on target to hit RM40 million and that all Malaysians had admitted that he was their film champion.

Only one of two things can help Rozmey achieve his dream of turning 2 Alam into a RM40 million blockbuster -- a miracle. Or he could buy the RM40 million worth of tickets himself.

So my advise is, maybe u should slow down a little bit Dr. Rozmey. U are doing good in ur JusMate5 business, but it seems like u are not doing so well in the movie business. So maybe u should just focus on what u good at.

But still, I would like to congratulate Dr. Rozmey, coz sure enough, 2 Alam has become a film people will remember.

Zaid vs. Azmin&Anwar

Zaid, who caused a stir in the last few days by withdrawing from the PKR deputy president’s race, now wants Azmin and Anwar to vacate their leadership of the party.

People keep asking whether the Pakatan Rakyat has come to a hopeless situation as the BN has won the recent two by-elections (Batu Sapi and Galas) with regained Malay votes, while the Pakatan Rakyat is facing many critical problems.

However, politics is not operated on a set formula like mathematics in which one plus one must equal to two. Politics thrives on changing mindsets with propaganda and mass appeal. If the BN who are current government, continues instilling positive messages into the people's minds, reducing mistakes, and avoiding infighting, it will not be surprising for it to return to power, and may even retrieve the two-thirds majority in Parliament.

Every political parties have their own problems. Be it opposition or government parties. What is important is there are genuine efforts to solve it and move on.

To solve the existing problem, all top leaders within the party must come together to resolve it. If having participation of some leaders from other Pakatan parties help, invite them. Anwar, Zaid, Azmin and Mustapha must look beyond themselves otherwise what they preaches were bullshits.

They must start to look at each other as genuine partners who wish to good for the country. They must be united in their ultimate aim to win Putrajaya together with the other two Pakatan components regardless of individual interest.

Zaid Ibrahim

Zaid is the man of his word, he resigned his post as a minister just to honour his word.

I have watched Zaid with interest since his efforts to restore judicial integrity as a minister in Abdullah’s cabinet. I like it when a man tries to do what he thinks is right and when he finally resigned from the cabinet after realizing that he was not going to get anywhere with the reforms he wants to introduce, I thought that he certainly has a role to play in the struggle to put Malaysia back on the right track.

BUT when this crisis happened, everything was so wrong. It kinda changed my perception toward him.

Zaid keep on attacking Anwar and Azmin in press conference. Something is not right here. Why can't discuss in close door?

Zaid started to complain when he was left behind by Azmin Ali in the race of VP title. Even there were really a malpractice as he claimed, he should try to restore and solve it within the party, not by going to Utusan and put the party in ruin.

Basically, if u got less votes than ur competitor, what u should do is by going to the grassroots and garner support from the people. But u are so egoist and expect people simply vote for u. People hardly seen what u have done so far when u became a PKR member, and now u expect people to support u?

I am an ardent admirer, I know much u have scarified, but man do u need to wash dirty linen in public?? U are an important member of the team, the citizens who want change, are relying on u, to assist the team leaders to be more professional and to be accountable.

Azmin Ali

Azmin, u need to beware of ur conduct, people are watching u.

First u wanted the Selangor CM post and now u are after VP post. Personally I would prefer Zaid than u because u have been talking too much but no action.

In Politics, u need to fight. U win some, u lose some. Unavoidable. U lose this time, u fight again the next round.

So Azmin, please have a clean fight. Don't use any underhand tactics! U are still young. U have many years to go. If PKR collapse, what do u have? Anwar won’t be with u like forever man.

There is this saying, by pointing a finger at others, we forget that three other fingers are pointing against us. Respecting the democratic process is one thing, the question here is, did u garner the votes by a fair means, without the interference of Anwar Ibrahim. If it is by fair means, u will have the trust and support of party members, otherwise u may with Anwar unwisely contributed to the disintegration of PKR. The rakyat wants an honest and transparent politician, nothing less.

Anwar Ibrahim

Anwar is the head. He is a true politican, a great front man.

I like this man. He is also a great speaker, just like Mahathir. These are the kind of guys that can lead the people.

But when I remembered back about September 16, damn I feel I’ve been fooled!

If Anwar Ibrahim aspires to be the next PM of Malaysia, he should demonstrate that he's the master of diplomacy and unity, instead of behaving like some US republican leaders.

Anwar, when u point 1 finger to others the other 3 fingers pointed back to u. U want changes, u change first. Change ur attitude, throw away the hidden agenda in u. This is not a family business, this not just about u, this is about the rakyat. People are getting fed up man.

The statistics show that only 10% voted in the PKR election and with this number of turnout, it is easily subject to manipulation. So the accusation of fraud should be taken seriously. But by sweeping it aside and continuing to blame others does not help at all.

Do u think Zaid will open his mouth if there was no irregularities on voting? He is a lawyer, in fact, a successful one, it would be impossible to talk like that unless he has a prove.

I had great respect for u Anwar, but please, why want to promote Azmin so much?

We know ur gratefulness towards Azmin's loyalty, but that does not mean he should hold a position that he is not qualified for. Go buy him a car or something, and say Thank You.

The rakyat will not tolerate Crony-ism or arrogance.

GE can be held anytime from now until next year. There is little time left. PKR spent too much time quarrelling among themselves. Initially it started with those frogs jumping out of PKR. Then comes this election problem. From external perspective, I see Anwar, Zaid, Mustapha and Azmin were not looking beyond themselves. They see each other as enemy rather than team mates. Election should be used as renewal and not for one to consolidate one power. The primary focus has to be good for the country, it's people and then only party and it's members then finally oneself. Please be honourable and do what it right for the country. The rest will be secondary.

To truly change Malaysia, we need to think about what exactly matters to the rakyat. We have to rise up and look forward. Not play politics all the time. MALAYSIANS MUST AVOID personality worship. We must focus on the REAL ISSUES affecting the rakyat, which is what u have always been saying. We must also REMOVE CRONY POLITICS from PKR if Pakatan is committed to remove crony politics from all of Malaysia.

1M Malaysians Reject 100-storey Mega Tower

I checked on the 1M-Malaysia reject mega tower page just now when I log into my FB account, and I was surprised to see the number is already exceeding 200K!!!

Congratulation Malaysian! This shows that we can unite as one even with the difference background of race and religions. This is the real Malaysian spirit!

Number of fans on the “1M Malaysians Reject 100-storey Mega Tower” page is growing at a breakneck pace — estimated at 1,000 an hour — since it was created anonymously hours after the prime minister announced the new PNB building during his 2011 Budget speech. And now the number is exceeding 200K, and still growing.

But please, I don't think we should be seeing this issue as a UMNO-BN vs PR problem. As Malaysians, we should be concerned about the funds that are going to be used to build this tower. Although coming from PNB, but isn't PNB a trustee of the people's funds?

And still the minister and politician still want to deny it.

"The reason why it was announced during Budget 2011 was because the PM was excited about it and wanted to talk about it,” said Datuk Nur Jazlan.

Are u kidding? So PM can just include a non government project just because he is excited?

We are not stupid Mr. Jazlan, so are u, don't give us that. Deny at ur own perils, yes I agree to that. One word of advise, more spinning and lying will make the people angry and the situation will be worst.

People are tired of the corruption and spending of this government (who ever tries to tell me it isn't our money must think we are idiots) is doing. The average working Malaysia is already struggling with day to day life and we see politicians driving around in new Mercedes Benzs and building luxury condos from our money that was directly/indirectly derived these Mega projects. These are the attitude that sickens the hardworking people of this country.

If we were to build a new hospital(or multiple hospitals), we would be happy. A new school and public transport we would cheer. But not another symbol of access so that the mistress of our wonderful political elite can go shopping while the rakyat don’t even have enough rice to eat.

The Malaysian government should take leaf from Singapore where every decision is calculated and studied, with facts and figure to back up decisions, where all decisions are pragmatic. With limited land to build offices, Singapore could afford to build the tallest buildings many times over but it didn't.

Now take a look at Malaysia, while not all initiatives are bad, the people are baffled with the money-wasting 1-storey tower with no apparent / practical use. So far the only reason provided was that construction of the building will create jobs opportunities and businesses, but that's only during the construction phase.

So what about after it is built? What then? Will it be fully occupied or will it become JUST another postcard photo snapping opportunity for tourists? Mr. Najib, give us proves that the office space is needed and will not be vacant like many buildings in KL then the people will support the project. By the way, failure by the Najib to provide explanation to persuade the opposing sound is not doing any good on his image and ability to lead.

That's why the young and educated people of Malaysia did not buy in the idea. RM5 billion is a lot of money can that be used for other purpose to benefit the rakyat directly.

And of coz we want development. Who say we don't want it? We just don't want RM5 billion to be spent on building a Mega Tower which majority of us agreed will not benefit rakyat and we think RM5 billion is better to be used in other ways.

U go to KL, yes u have Pavillion, not far from KLCC, u have a lot of shopping complexes adjacent to each other. But how can u sure this is the development we want? I can see teenagers smoking and petting intimately in front of public at Jalan BB, the future looks grim on their face. What kind of plan do u have for them? Go to Bukit Bintang lah, see urself.

If u still want to think we the rakyat is stupid and still want to ignore us, fine. As usual they think they are the boss. Americans used to have that mentality - I know what is best, just buy my product, while the Japanese listened to their customers, and built their product to the specifications of the mass, result - look at Toyota, and compare it with Ford or GM.... and the rest is history.

Our kids are asked to study history, so Putrajaya, why not do a bit of history as well?

Or at least please go and read Maslow hierarchy theory before proceed with the plan.

Auditor General's Report

Finally the Auditor General’s report is released.

Guess what??? No more wasteful spending??? Just surf the net for data on budgets of certain departments or renovation costs for certain buildings and u can start shaking ur head sans Beatles music!!

According to it (AG), Malaysia’s national debt for 2009 rose to RM362.39 billion or 53.7 per cent of GDP, its highest level in five years. It was the first time the debt to GDP ratio had breached the 50 per cent mark.

This contrast with what our Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s reply in Parliament in June that Malaysia’s total debt had been reduced in 2009 to RM233.92 billion from RM236.18 billion in 2008 and he had also said that the debt to GDP ratio for 2009 was only 34.3 per cent, up from 31.9 per cent in 2008.

So this can bring the question, why are the AG's numbers different from the PM's numbers?

The Auditor-General has criticised the abuse of the first economic stimulus package (ESP) funds, citing as example the upgrading of the VVIP room at the Langkawi Naval Headquarters Region 3 (Mawilla 3) with RM301,900 worth of chandeliers, home-theatre systems, fancy wall paper and other luxuries.

Other abuses and wastages of the ESP found in the A-G's audit report tabled in Parliament today include RM459,460 for decorative outdoor lighting for the Lumut Naval Base and RM144,118 to renovate an existing canteen that was in good condition with new White Horse tiles, plaster ceilings and cornices.

And of coz so many more if u want to list it. It sure looks like a lot of stimulation here. Dangdut, massage and makan

Year in and year out, the A-G's Report lists incidents of poor management of funds and abuse are listed over a few hundred pages in the report and together with other concerned citizens, I am awaiting the latest report to see how the ministries and government agencies manage their budget and spend public money - our money!

And u know what so funny about this?

Every year abuses were reported in each year auditor general report but No Further Action is taken (NFA). This is the biggest joke and the AG could lose his job. Good luck from me.

Who listens to the Auditor-General's Reports and takes the necessary action to resolve the problems highlighted? Ops, nobody!

This is what we call as plundering in broad daylight because I believe the above is only the tip of the iceberg.

One must wonder what a 100% detailed checking on the use of ESP funds would reveal. But the above account already gave a grim prognosis of the whole stimulus package, and how it was abused and manipulated by rent seekers and interest parties.

The siphons must have been working happily on the ESP fund chest. No wonder there are no multiplier effects felt down where it matters. No wonder most Malaysians remain low-income earners, making one wonders about the "soon-to-be" built 100-storey tower which is said to have similar "multiplier effects" on the economy as well. Shall we take that?

Just how do we ordinary Malaysians get to have a hand on the ESP funds to make us high income earners too? No wonder there are already some Very High Income Earners, VHIE, while we are still slogging to make ends meet.

So what's going to happen now with the massive spending in infrastructure? When u spend the money on a 100 storey building, u need people, business activity and rental income to pay for it. A building on its own is dead intellectually and needs human input to make it profitable.

On the other hand, when u spend that money for education, u create brain power that can generate income directly. And that is clearly much better than build a 100-storey building. Why are our politicians so stupid?

Look like what Idris Jala said got some truth as by 2019 our country will be going bankrupt - only thing he told was mainly due to subsidies but actually too many leakages in the system.

At the rate of our government are spending the rakyats' money and siphoning large amounts into crony accounts through mega-projects, it is not impossible Malaysia will be following Greece and Spain into bankruptcy even before 2019.

And worst we might even join Zimbabwe, where we need twenty million ringgit to buy a fresh chicken. But don’t worry, the plus sign would be that every Malaysian would be carrying billion-ringgit notes in their purses!

*Sigh*

Speechless.

Finally, I applaud the Auditor General for continuing to expose these serious malpractices and wrongdoings. The auditor general spends vast amount of time and funds in preparing the reports. However when it is released, there is a little ripple here and there showing disgust at the wastage, after which all settles down like normal. The MACC has spent so much of time and money on Chicken feed cases which has a political biasness. Where are they in dealing with all these? These are running into mega bucks.

So please stop this. For goodness sake take action against the culprits who abused the funds!

If such offences had been committed in China, these people will be sentenced to death with a bullet in the head plus the cost of the bullet is charged to the family of the deceased. How about here in Malaysia?

Warisan Merdeka Project : 100-Storeys Building

The recent budget announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has created a lot of controversies.

And there’s one that really caught my attention, the Warisan Merdeka project. This project is about to build a 100-storeys building that gonna cost RM5billions.

So without wasting my time bluffing around, here I state few questions that always been asked by the people and answer from me regarding to this mega project.

What is this project is all about? Some kind of joke?

This project called Warisan Merdeka. It is about spending RM5billions to build a new 100-storeys building. And yes, this is totally a joke! (sarcastic)

What makes u think u deserve to complain?

Because I’m a Malaysia citizen and I’m a taxpayer, so I deserve to know where the money goes. So do u and anybody else as long as they are Malaysian and pay tax, we all deserve to know how the money being spent.

Why can’t we have the new tall building?

Because we already have KLCC, and that is enough for now. Even KLCC are still got an empty space. And besides of KLCC, we still got a lot of surplus office building that still not occupied.

Why Dr. M can build KLCC but Najib can’t build this?

Well let me remind u that Dr.M did that when we in booming time, but now we in deep debt as what Idris Jala said, so we have to spend our money wisely. Let me remind u that RM5billions is not a small amount of money. Its equal to RM5000 MILLIONS! There’s a lot of zeroes.

Then how we want to achieve Vision 2020?

Tall building or short building got nothing to do with our plan to be Negara Maju Wawasan 2020. Many world class cities such as Tokyo, London (even Singapore!) do not have skyscrapers. This cannot be an excuse to not be Vision 2020.

Everyone say that this building will create more work opportunities, so this is a good thing right?

Yes this will create more work opportunities, but only to the foreign labor, such as Indon and Bangla, after that no more work opportunities coz the building won’t get occupied. So this is not a good thing.

The employment of foreigners workers is not their fault, its Malay fault coz most of us don’t want to work as labor. Don’t u think so? Typical Malay.

Yes. That’s right. That’s why we need to spend the money in human capital. We better use that money towards encouraging creativity, education so that we can change the typical Malay attitude to the first class minded attitude. In other words, use that money to develop human capital instead of physical infrastructure.

Don’t u think that we need a progressive building?

No, we need a progressive mind.

Doesn’t this project will make us a high income society?

Well let me ask u back. Who are u going to fool? How is building a 100-story building going to make us a high income society? U cannot spend ur way out! If u can Japan would have done that. Japan's economy was stagnant for over a decade and what save them is prudent spending and investment in technology and education. This deficit spending is going to bring the country to her knee and is not sustainable.

So I don’t think this project will helps us to move forward as a high-income economy. High-income economy is not talking about tall buildings, high-income economy is talking about people who have the energy, the expertise and the entrepreneurship to be able to earn high incomes.

They said that 93% will be held by non-government entities? So it’s a win-win situation right?

Don’t forget to look at the fact that this year FDI plunge almost to 81%! Even the investors lost the trust to invest on our country and this is a fact, u can check it by urself at World Investment Report 2010.

My apology. But out of topic a little while, coz I don't really understand. Got Toll hike - complain. No Toll hike - also complain?

Poor u kid, for ur convenience in understanding:
1.) toll hike = highway users pay more
2.) no toll hike = government pay more (compensate) = all taxpayers, including non-highway users, pay for the toll.
3.) In case u don't know, government's money come from tax paid by taxpayers.

What are the other problem with this RM5bil project?

New palace announced by Sammy Vellu was RM400million, now shoot up to RM900 million. So u can guess the final price of this 100 storey tower. Now say RM5 billion, later sure come out the bill cost RM7-8 billion. Plus, based on the KL landscape this tower will only create problems like traffic jam, floods, and congestion.

What is the meaning of development to u?

Development doesn't mean having the tallest building, doesn't mean having PutraJaya, doesn't mean having a national car which is not really a national car but a rebadged Mitsubishi. Development means the rakyat enjoys quality living in the form of safer environment where our children can roam the street freely to play, where the rakyat can enjoy the resources of the country and not having to slog day and night just to pay the increasing living expenses, where there are parks for the rakyat to enjoy, where the rakyat can enjoy affordable houses and cars.

But it is good to take risk rite?

Yes, I agree with that, but even we wanna take a risk, take a good one, don’t blindly take risk that will clearly gonna make us lose. Use your head to think, don’t use ur ass.

Then where should we spend the money?

First we can spend it to human capital like investing in education, revamping the syllabus, hire better qualified teachers and teach all Malaysians the spirit of competition and innovation. The RM5bil money also better be use to build more affordable homes for the lower income people so that they will have roofs over their heads, improve school and hospital buildings and facilities, turn PTPTN into scholarship, improve public transportation and basically anything but just not another useless tall building!

Finally, let us all ask ourselves :

Whats the point of having tall building while we don't have tall attitude???

Open Our Mind

First of all I would like to apologise for not updating my blog in these past few days. Having lot of problems and with all the stresses, there’s really no time for me to sit down and writing.

With all the problems that persist, it really brings a headache. This morning I sat down and think thoroughly. And suddenly one name comes to my mind. Kylie Tanti. Does this name ring the bell?

Well if don’t, let me remind u back. In past couple of week, the headlines in local paper stated that Kylie Tanti, an Australian Base jumper fell to her death when her parachute failed to open during a training stint from a communication tower in Alor Setar.

Tragic news right? Coz I thought parachuting was a relatively safe sport.

Then it comes to my mind one famous quote by Frank Zappa, an America composer and musician, who said: “The mind is like a parachute, it works only when it is open.”

Yes, I do realise while most of us not going to take Base jumping or skydiving anytime soon, it is likely all of us need to open our minds to survive the stresses of today’s lifestyle.

Did we realise for all this time we tend to having fight with our friends, parents, bosses, lecturers, spouses, neighbours and etc. over a small matter, small matter that should not be a problem at all at the first place, but it becoming bigger and worst just because of our narrow minded.

Plus in a multiracial country like ours, we can no longer afford to be selfish and ignore each other. If we are serious about moving forward together, we have to stop kicking each other ass, and u and me, need to work together, and listen to one another, with no prejudice.

Whether we realised or not, many of us may claimed that we are open minded enough, but trust me, only few moments of discussion over something, one would quickly conclude that their minds are far from open.

We refuse to listen to the other side. We will come up with the excuses and retorts that are prejudiced and full of misconceptions. We may appear to listen but our minds and hearts are somewhere else.

As our action learn and work based from the command of our minds and hearts, it is our responsibility to ensure that our ‘parachutes’ remain functional at all times.

Basically, parachutes just like any other equipment, which should be checked and maintained regularly. We can do so by having a simple self-check to ourselves.

The simple self-check that I mean here is we should ask ourselves these kinds of question:

Am I really an open minded person or not?

Can I listen to other people’s opinion?

Is it my heart full with hatred over someone or something?

Am I good enough to scorn other people?

Can I accept if people reject me?

Should I give up if I keep failing doing something?

By asking ourselves these kinds of question, it will bring us back to the basic. It will remind us back of our initial plan and the reason why we live in this world.

By asking ourselves these questions, I really believed many wars can be stopped, many social problems can be prevented, and many souls can be saved.

Mature people should commit themselves to keeping an open mind at all times. We must pledge to listen first and act later. We cannot just act based on our emotion. We should think thoroughly before making any decision so that we can make a quality decision and won’t regret with our decision later on.

And like usual, one of the way how to make us an open minded person is by reading more and more. The more u read, the more u widen ur mind, and that is something money can’t buy. It takes a lot of knowledge to be a person that can cope with all the problems and the stresses.

And one of the reasons why people have a narrow minded is because of the hatred that they keep in themselves. Please stop the hatred. There is already too much hatred in the world. Ask any psychologist and he will agree that hatred is consuming to the mind in the long term. A consumed mind has a much lesser chance of being open. So if we happen to hate somebody right now, just forgive them, and move on.

We should choose to focus on the future rather than dwell too much on the past. Stop taking part in spreading negative energies through gossiping and endless complaining. Instead, try to appreciate and spend time with what we have, like our loved ones, visit new places and make new friends.

Embrace ourselves with love and accept ourselves for who we are. Love is the formula in happiness. Love is also the answer to many of the problems in today’s world. Like the Black Eyed Pead, we are also asking, “where is the love?”.

A life that is full of love, understanding and positive values cannot be anything but happy. We want to be happy so that we can pass the happiness to others around us. Remembered, life is meant to be enjoyed, not endured. We can achieve this once we free our mind from all the negative energy surrounding us.

So back to Kylie Tanti, thanks to her she really makes me think. She sent us a powerful message through her death. Her friend described her as fearless and larger than life. Tragically she may have died happy pursuing her dreams. As for the rest of us, it is time to check our ‘parachute’ to ensure it functions properly.

Wow, we got a chance to see a very nice and rare fighting between two tycoons.

Tony Fernandes vs. Nadzmi Salleh.

Air Asia vs. Proton.

A court battle is looming over the ‘Team Lotus’ name which is linked to the country’s first locally-backed Formula One team. Both of them fight to get the right of Lotus name.

Okay, first I wonder, what is so "Lotus" or "Proton" about the "Team Lotus"? For damn sake, the engine comes from Cosworth, not from any of above.

And I also wonder, Proton is owned (and subsidized) by Malaysians and 1Malaysia Racing team is the brain child of the Malaysian govt. So why can't Proton help out the hand that feeds it?

It seems like, u Mr Fernendaz, u fight for a govt that does not fight for u.

And yes, before I forget, my friend did ask me why they fight at English court?

Actually for those who wonder this, just a teeny bit of research would have told that only the British court would have jurisdiction over this case. The patent right of Team Lotus is in the United Kingdom, not here in Malaysia. And the venture is in Norfolk, also in the United Kingdom, not here in Malaysia. Both parties are British registered entities. That’s why they have to fight in over there.

The situation now is quite twisting. At first, I was under the impression that Tony lotus team was part of an engineering effort of Group Lotus. Apparently it is not, therefore it is misleading to the public.

So basically, if it causes confusion in the public, I think the trade mark owner has every right to protect it, but I’m not sure whether the court will agree with it because legal system itself is very confusing in certain part.

For this case, even it brings the misleading to public, it is not wrong legally. This is how a legal system works in the world. If u ask who owns the right to the name of Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, u shouldn't be surprised that it is owned by the Caucasians who live in UK, not Chinese. It is also the largest or second largest bank in Europe. Yes, it is a European bank whose main revenues all come from Asians. So, what can the Chinese do? Nothing! Nobody gives a damn to what u think or ur confusion!

Now let us bring the question back to Nadzmi, why he so mad if Tony want to use Lotus brand coz directly or indirectly, it can helps give free publicity to the Lotus brand.

So why he want to stop Tony from using Lotus name? Let me tell u why.

Whether it’s team Lotus or 1 Malaysia racing team, it’s doesn’t bother as long as u are winner. In this case, the question is, all the racing event we are not even close or get some points. We are always at the bottom or should say top 20 position (sound better). So this bring bad image to Lotus brand!

So that’s why Nadzmi want them to stop using Lotus brand, coz he wants to protect the image of Lotus brand (even they actually use Cosworth engine!). Nadzmi act like he own all that connect to Lotus. Well, maybe somebody should go and read history.

Colin Chapman kept Group Lotus and Team Lotus separate, so neither one owns another.

Proton never bought the rights to Team Lotus when they purchased Group Lotus, they tried to stake their claim but since the companies were different it was ruled that they had to purchase it from the lawful rights owner at that point, David Hunt. Of course David didn’t sell.

My other wild assumption is, Proton and Group Lotus are just pissed off that Tony and his friends have taken a dead British motoring brand and kicked some life into it, and now that the world has taken notice and suddenly Lotus is becoming cool again, they want to stake their claim. When in fact they had something like 12 years to do this but they were happy to just sit tight and stick ‘Engineered by Lotus’ stickers on their stupid inferior Protons.

So now Proton and GL want to kick up a fuss and lay their stake to the Team Lotus (the racing team) brand. They lost before (go look it up, they tried to take it via the courts in the late 90s), and they will lose again.

And Tony, I wonder, why can't the team be called 'Air Asia Racing Team' ? Coz all this while u guys had been using Cosworth's engine and maybe Renault for the 2011 campaign (see below). Remember that in F1, the engine that drive the winner not the 'Team'.

Lotus and Cosworth to end engine agreement

The Lotus team and engine suppliers Cosworth are set to end their partnership at the end of this season it has been confirmed. Like fellow newcomers Virgin and HRT, Lotus had entered a three-year agreement with Cosworth prior to joining the Formula One grid at the start of this year.

However, with Cosworth agreeing to break that contract, it paves the way for Lotus to use an alternative engine supplier - widely tipped to be Renault - from 2011 onwards (www.formula1.com/news..)

Before I end my writing, let me draw a simple conclusion ;

1) Nadzmi spent maybe 20 years in Proton, with very little to show for it.

2) Tony made AirAsia into global brand.

3) Lotus is bleeding proton dry. All the money spent by mak ciks and pak ciks, supporting Proton, goes into the hands of overpaid and under work British people.

So the solution here is, better sell lotus to Tony, and see what he can run it into.

But whatever it is, everyone knows that Formula 1 is an expensive business (most expensive sport in the world!), but if Tony can make it work financially, then it’s good for him. Tony can do whatever he wants with the whole Lotus thing. As long as it's his own money and he's not pestering the government, GLCs and others for money, we don't really care.

In our case now, we can’t even win a race and yet we go battle for the name. What a joke. Wasting energy and resources and $$$. ~

Malay Supremacy

I hate arguing with people about this, about Malay supremacy.

Many keep saying to me that this is Malay’s country, Malay should fight for our right and so on.

Before I go any further, I would like to remind us about our Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) last sermon :

All mankind are from Adam & Eve, an Arab has no Superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has superiority over an Arab;ALSO a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety & good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to another Muslim & that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood.Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow muslim unless it was given freely & willingly. Do not therefor, do unjustice to yourselves.

My dear Malay friend, are we Malay really sure that this country is belong to us? I don’t think so. None of this belong to anybody. It’s belong to the Creator, for all mankind. We just borrow this from Him. Our Prophet remind us to be fair with everyone.

All of us have emotional attachments to the land that we grow up in. Some to the extent of arrogantly claiming that it belongs to them as Tuan’s. But we must all firstly strive to be honest and just beings willing to seek to understand the entire universe and how Mother Nature works as best as we can.

Then we will begin to realise that even ants and bacteria have a right to their existence, and we humans are not the lords or Tuans of anything but just another parasite on earth that owe our very existence to the likes of the cyanobacteria and the plants whose 'waste' oxygen of our lives depend .

The concept is, people who work hard, he the one that will earn and deserve the reward. Simple.

Why keep saying that A is better than B? Why keep saying that our race is better than others?

Yes, Ali is human, but so do Ah Chong and Muttu, they are also human. We human, have to be fair with one another.

I hate to say this, but the fact is, inspite of the NEP, the majority of Malays remain poor. Well, it’s unfair for me to blame the system. Maybe if the system is not working then don’t change the system. Get rid of the people who are manipulating and corrupting the system.

But still, be fair, we have to emphasis the fairness in everything.

Don’t afraid that we might loose power or what, we have to have confidence with ourselves, confidence with our own ability and capability. We have to tell ourselves and tell our children than we have to stop depends on the system, we should depends on ourselves. Have we ever asked ourselves until when we want to depend on the system?

The worst disease is when u keeps relying on others for ur own good and self-interest.

So don’t rely on anybody but u!

Also, I don’t think Malay will fall backward and loose all the voices if we being fair. Malays can never loose power as we are the majority in this country. Even if any political party becomes government, I believe there will be more Malay representatives in Parliament and State Assemblymen.

Actually u don't have to believe me, just see with ur eyes and hear with ur ears on the ground.

Any political party should not forget the People’s Declaration that they once signed, because the people still remembers it. Instead of politicking so much, how about suggesting new ideas to run this nation? Instead of backstabbing each other so much, how about sitting together and discussing how we can improve Malaysian life?

We must fight back by emphasing on the ‘Politics of Hope and Liberation’, which will transform the Malay Mind from the false fear of losing their identity and economical development to a positive force that will create a confident and liberated community

To make a good country, the rakyat must first be sure about their identity and be willing to sacrifice. I am Malaysian first and Islam is my religion, and there is no second. This is where I was born, where I grow, where I live and where my grave will be. I will be eligible to vote next year, and I will do my job as a responsible citizen in the next general election.

After all the rendang, ketupat,kuih raya, nasi himpit, sate and others, it’s time for us to get back to our initial body shape. People said that it took a whole month of Ramadhan to lose a 3 kg, but only took 3 days of Syawal to gain 10 kg. Hoho. (Is that right?)

So we should do something about this. I bother to write this entry because even me myself is worried about my body shape. My body is getting bigger and bigger everyday (not the whole body, but only at my belly!). So I better take the precaution steps before it comes to worst.

So here I would like to share things that I want to do in these couple of months (hopefully lah) in order to lose my weight. I guess maybe these are the easiest way that we can do to achieve our ideal body weight.

Drink 8 glasses of water everyday

This one is obviously so easy, and broadly recommended. However, not all of us can do it. It is simple, but hard to do. The reason I recommend drinking water is because drinking eight glasses of water per day helps u feel less hungry. I mean ur body is full with water, so basically it will help us to reduce our eating desire. I can’t prove this scientifically, however, usually, I drink 4 cups in the morning and 4 cups in the evening. And on the days that I don’t drink the water, I feel hungrier, earlier. Also, on the days I don’t drink water I feel sleepier, sooner. So I say this from my reading and my own experience. And don’t be so dumb by trying to drink all of 8 glasses of water in a one try. Take it bit by bit, from morning to evening, than from evening to night.

Eat vegetables/fruits before the main course

Even the babies know that vegetable and fruit is very good to human body. Why it is good? Because it is natural, so it has a lot of vitamins and minerals. So what u should do now is, whenever possible, make sure to have an ample serving of a vegetable or fruit before eating the denser main course--often a meat or fish. U will need less of the dense stuff to be happy. Eat these vegetable and fruit first, only then u eat the main dishes. U will be happy to see the result in a couple of weeks.

Make your diet public

Tell people u’re on a diet. Tell ur family, ur friends and everyone around u. There’s no reason to be ashamed to be on a diet. I found that trying to keep my diet a secret was harder than just telling people. In fact, telling people that u are on diet will increase your accountability. It motivated me knowing and imagining that my supportive friends and family just wait to laugh at my face when they knew I will give up easily after few days after talking big.

Divide up your meals so that you eat 5-6 small meals a day

Eating small meals gives ur body time to digest and burn up ur food or "fuel" at a steady rate. Try to divide ur meals everyday as much as u can. If before this u eat 3 times a day, try to make it 5 times, or 6 times a day. And again, don’t be idiot by not understand my meaning here. Of coz I mean by divide ur meals, u have to take it in a small amount everytime u eat. This is much better than u eat a lot of meal in one time because it’s going to take a whole lot of energy to digest the food after u done eating. So just imagine, if we eat at mamaks late at night, then we go back home, and straight going to bed. Marvellous! The food won’t get digested and it will just stay there, and the result u won’t have a sexy stomach no more. So from here maybe u can get my point, don’t eat right before going to bed!

Live an active lifestyle

This is the hardest, but the fastest way to get ur body on shape. Get at least 30 minutes of exercise a day, 3 days a week. The type of exercise u need will vary, depending on ur body weight and physical health and well-being. Regardless, u should be doing a mix of both aerobic (fat-burning) exercises like jogging or interval training, and anaerobic(muscle-building) exercises like resistance or weight training. Anaerobic ensures ur metabolism doesn't drop due to dieting while aerobic is best for targeting fat calories.

If u found it hard for u to do, try to take full advantages of ur daily routines. If u usually using elevator at ur office, start taking stairs instead. If u usually riding kapcai to go to ur nearest shop, start walking instead. If u usually playing computer games, start play the real outdoor game instead.

So these were among the tips that me myself will try to apply in order to get my ideal weight. Plus I don’t want to look fat coz it will bring my confident level down, and people usually assume fat people as a lazy people (I don’t like people assume me lazy even though I really am!). And don’t be mad at them (people who assume u lazy), but mad to ourselves coz we ourselves let that thing happen by not taking care of our body.

Remember, whatever happen, try to stick with the plans. There are no tricks to it. Remember how u learned to ride a bike? It took a lot of practice and willpower. First, u had to have training wheels, and then u had them removed and it was scary, but the whole time, u had a vision in ur head of urself riding a two-wheel bike. U looked around the neighborhood and saw other kids and adults riding bikes, and u thought "I can do that too." And u can. With a strong will to do something, anything is possible!
